Cortez McDowell injury

Of course.

I have just reached a point of numbness. If it can go wrong, it will. Everything on the hill for the last 10 years has just been a complete circus.

Tennessee senior weak side linebacker Cortez McDowell could be out an extended amount of time after he suffered a wrist injury that may require surgery, a source told SEC Country. McDowell suffered the injury with 12:46 left in the third quarter when Florida tight end Moral Stephens decked an unsuspecting McDowell with a high block down field. Tennessee’s entire projected starting linebacker corps is expected to sidelined heading into next Saturday’s home game with Massachusetts.

Guys. Everyone has injuries. We act like we are abnormal. South Carolina just lost their best player for the year. They happen. War of attrition. Move on.

We also lost our best player for the year during the first game. Something is wrong about our level of injuries.

Actually last season we set an NCAA record for injuries

Ignont, come on down son...

Add Sapp to that order....and about damned time. I can handle mistakes from youngsters playing aggressive. Simplify if you have to and just fly to the ball. At this point, we need to try something/anything different.

Its a shame a 4 star lb coming out of high school like Bates cant developed into more than a special teams player,

First, no injury has hurt us. Second, McDowell should not be playing along with Jumper. Third, I'm a realist and injuries happen. By the end of the season Florida had more than we did. It will be alright. Let's move on and get ready for the Bulldogs.

We lost our best defensive player in fall camp, and, arguably our best offensive player in the 1st half of the first game.

Injuries happen to everyone, but there certainly does seem to be an oddly high number of them happening at Tennessee. These things may happen for a few games, or maybe a whole year at some places, but we have been riddled with season-enders for several years. It makes the fact that Josh Dobbs never missed a start due to injury all the more impressive.

Generally, we seem to aim for redshirting Freshman long before we will consider playing him as a last resort, When there are no bodies left, we will play Freshmen unless they are 5 stars. We have never had an abundance of 5 stars!
