Coronavirus (No politics)

I think Coach Heupel said it was 85%.

Coach Heupel didn’t say anything except “they’re working” on an acceptable number. Media reported it to be 85%.

I recall Sankey saying teams with 85% won’t have to forfeit games but that was a month+ ago. Vaccinated players are not supposed to be subject to contact tracing but alot has changed since then

Lol there are people in the world who have real threats to their freedom... Taiwan trying to keep China from taking their democracy... Afgans fearing the taliban and just wanting to live... and we're over here threatening people because we don't want to wear masks in Franklin, TN

Gotta love first world country problems....

It's my belief people don't want to believe or accept common sense or scientific facts. And that's going to be the death of many.
There is, at least, one encouraging aspect to all this. Even if we can’t predict how the virus will evolve or how it will respond to the coming vaccine, there is something all of us can do to reduce the risk of the virus evolving in dangerous ways. And it doesn’t involve any complicated new behaviors. “Viruses can only evolve if they’re replicating and transmitting,” Streicker says. “Anything that reduces the replication of a virus will in consequence reduce the amount of evolution that happens.” In other words, we can do our part to slow down the evolution of the Covid-19 virus by behaving exactly as we’ve been told to already to avoid catching it: Minimize contact with others, wash your hands and wear a mask. Well, Wood, that is the problem isn't it? What are the "scientific facts"? Every day we hear supposed experts express their thoughts on where this is going and what is effective to slow/stop it.....and "experts" disagree strongly, even day to day. And now one wonders where to go to get consistent, reliable, non-political opinions on this serious matter. It has led to a massive mistrust of the general public and you see the conflict and tension this has caused.
I said a few years ago when all the weather reporting stations started to over-hype "hurricane from Hell" talk on almost EVERY single storm, and massive evacuations in low probability areas that people would get numb to the warnings and stop listening. And that is happening. And anytime you make an institution into a political arm or weapon, the general population stops listening and begins to distrust and despise its own governing bodies. Cost of trying to over-govern. Inform people truthfully, and let them choose.

I'm all for the government and experts backing off, and letting nature take its course. Weeding out or culling the population might not be a bad idea given how so many folks behave.

Literally, there is more of a chance of a lightning strike death of a child at the game than one from Covid. C'mon guy. Geez
There’s a greater chance of a healthy child having a bad reaction to the vaccine than any trouble with Covid. Covid as it is doesn’t really harm healthy non overweight people. It’s not sensible for a young person to take the same approach as a vulnerable person. If you are actually at risk you probably shouldn’t be going to a place like Neyland.

I have looked at the facts and thats why I will not wear a mask ar get the jab. Another fact is you don't have to go to Neyland if you don't want to.
Exactly. If you are actually an at risk person than no amount of masks or vaccines is going to make going to a football game a safe thing for you. It’s time for the majority of us who aren’t at risk to return to living
