***Mods, I got permission from Freak to post this in The Pub forum only so please do not delete.***

I am making cornhole boards to sell to help pay for my tuition at UT for this upcoming year. I have made a set before that I use for tailgating and they turned out very good and are a hit at our tailgates. A picture can be found here: http://www.volnation.com/forum/pub/48843-suggestions-please-4.html on post #47.

If anyone would be interested in buying a set let me know. I can do the same design I used in my picture but I'm also going to make some that are different designs.

Thanks and Go Vols!

Wow?! $100??

If you can't make one for $30, you will never make it as a man. I guess if they're painted and come with bags they're worth something, but do these usually sell for $100+?

Seems like a reasonable price. He's trying to pay for school and he's doing it the old fashioned way; he's trying to earn it. Profit isn't a four-letter word.

I'll make people some for free if they just give me some money for materials...$100 should do it.

$100 is actually on par with the going rate but I think you may need to do something to sell it more. Are you gonna ship if so is it free or offer a few different designs. Just saying.

I feel that 100 is a very fair price considering they are hand made, hand painted and comes with 8 bags. I saw a pair of crappy plastic boards and 8 bags for $150 at the mall the other week. You would be hard pressed to find 8 bags for even $20 themselves. You clearly haven't made any boards before. The wood alone costs $30 not to mention bolts, washers, and wingnuts for leg connection, primer, 2-3 different colors of paint and then considering the time put into building and painting. So please don't question my "manhood". I'm willing to bet I can build them quicker and better than you.

I'm getting ready to go out of town for the weekend so I won't be able to get them up until sunday but I am going to draw up 2-4 different designs that you can chose from if you decide you might be interested.

To answer a question to an earlier post, shipping is not included. I'm not really sure how much it would cost to ship a set. If you are in the knoxville are I would be more than happy to meet up with you somewhere to avoid shipping costs. Also I'm in north atlanta area until Aug 12th so I can meet somewhere there also until I go back to school.

Here are 4 designs I drew up last night. The all checkerboard is similar to the ones I made for myself and the other 3 are new designs. Colors can be changed around if you would like. Also, If you have any other suggestions I would be happy to hear them.

Sorry. It's been a couple weeks since I priced an 8' 2x4 and a 4'x4' sheet of plywood.
