He is a lousy route runner. But I just don't think he can make the grades. In other words, he has kinda got to go...

Whiskey Dix? Geeez. Too many changes to the bars on the Strip. Hell I was surprised when The Last Lap closed. I paid their mortgage there for years.

If you've paid any attention at all, he's a lousy route runner. I don't see him being a high draft pick this year under any circumstances. He needs another year.

Doubt he'll ever be top 5, but he has a shot at first round, IMO.

I understand that he is a lousy route runner but he is a freak man!!!! He is a guy that can go into the combine mid 2nd round and come out a top 10 pick even if he can run a route or not! He just has that it factor u give him the ball and something crazy is gonna happen !!!

I don't think he comes back for his senior year.

Likely a combination of several reasons.

So My roommate and I ran into him at Whiskey Dix last night, and my roommate asked him about the possibility of returning next year, to which he replied "I really hope so"

I don't think we're gonna lose him to the draft, which is a nice light in these dark days of UT football. Honestly don't think he was ready for the draft anyway.
I think NFL teams and scouts know he's dangerous, but they also really haven't seen his potential as a WR. He dropped some key passes that would have changed the complexion of the games, and thus he really has shown much as a WR.

Had he made those, we probably win 2-3 more games and he has a more dynamic highlight reel. Right now, he's only got highlights on ST's and on running plays designed for him.

Last lap and Tap Room were staples on the strip for several generations of students. Those 2 plus Sam & Andy's or Krystal and you had a full night on the strip. If you had a car - a side trip to Brother Jack's and a Pig Burger was on the nightly agenda....those were some days...:hi:

I remember when the Tap Room burned down in 1964 if I remember correctly -- for those who came after it burned, the Tap Room was by far the best place in the area for students to go have fun and snarf a few fishbowls of beer. It had a bar on one wall with a lot of tables around the other three with a good sized wooden dance floor in the middle.

The night it burned down (about 2:00 am), one of my fraternity brothers and I saw what was happening and like any upstanding college students, we immediately went across the street and got a case of beer from the frat house (Kappa Sig -- the K&E country club was right behind the Tap Room) and we sat down on the grass to watch it burn along with what became a pretty large crowd of students, all of whom were getting pretty blitzed. When the kegs began cooking off, they sounded like cannons and everybody cheered each explosion -- and they had a ton of kegs, much to our delight .

We were far from the only folks guzzling beer as we all watched the fire dept fight the blaze and after a while all the students would cheer when the firemen seemed to be winning and booed when the fire seemed to be getting the upper hand. A little later the crowd reversed and cheered when the fire was gaining and booed when the firemen made progress. Eventually, though, the fire won out and the Tap Room became just a good memory.

When we awoke and in a sober state, we realized we were pretty stupid to cheer the fire, because the Tap Room was by far the best place to troll for a date or just get smashed and have a good time - or both, as the case may have been.

I hope he can keep his grades up and return.

He and his old QB just might show us some magic next season and light it up every game.

Leaving after this season will probably lose him lots of $$$$ and in the NFL there's no guarantee of a 2nd contract.

VFL...GBO!!!
