The new coach has already been hired. Fulmer is interviewing candidates for DC/OC. This has been the biggest smokescreen in modern sports history! Book it!

So Fulmer hires the coach, then chooses his coordinators, sounds a little bassackwards doesn't it?:)

You're as bad as I am with the conspiracy theories. I think Fulmer is stalling so he can hire Leach and the UT bosses can't get mad because Leach is the only one left. :)

There is no smokescreen and there is no white whale. We fought for a great hire. They screwed it up. Now, we get to eat a giant turd sandwich for another decade yet it will somehow be our fault

Come guys... we got it figured out...

Initials of new HC are: PF.

I won't stand for Paul Finebaum. That guy is a cancer. I know he's a UT grad, but he's never played a snap as far as I know. This is a disaster. If TN is going to settle for a TV guy they should go after Jon Gruden.

It's uncommon, but not necessarily without precedent.

Ideally your head coach is the emotional leader of the team. But at the same time, it's easy for them to fall into the trap of hiring friends as coordinators or assistant coaches, even to the detriment of the team and the program.

I know the Dodgers' front office used to hire everyone; the manager could not pick his coaches at all.
