What if we just bought a Ferrari just to park it at a trailer park?

I hope we didn't spend up all our money on an AD that we now have to hire from the peanut gallery.

Not being negative just hoping that's not the case.

We spent 2.5 mil on his buyout, and were paying him almost 2 mil a year. We can afford whatever it takes for a coaching staff

What do you mean justify? He’s done a great job at UCF. I also assume to get a guy of his quality to come into the difficult position of being AD at Tennessee you’d have to offer him a lot. This isn’t an easy job. We gave him the money to help us fix this mess. No justifying needed.
Time will tell.

A grand slam hire! White has as excellent background and has made good hires in the past for Head coaches

No. I think its a really good hire. I just think they overpaid him. Maybe it's what they had to do to get him here, who knows. Hope like hell he follows up with a good coach.
They had to. This place is radioactive right now.

He already had a great job at a quasi-P5 school with much less pressure making over $1m/year. He could have stayed there as long as he wanted and probably kept them performing at a really high level. You have to throw a lot of cash at someone in that situation to get them to leave. This new job he just took is going to be really, really difficult and he's under a microscope.

That’s how you start to fix things. Back up the cash truck and get your person
We've thrown a helluva lot of money at folks just the wrong ones. Now we have people in positions of decision making that know what the hell they're doing. Enough of the good ol' boy system. This is a big business. High time we started running it that way.

He raised $36M dollars for UCF last year on the fundraising side. When he got there they were averaging $4-5M a year. He'll make the university money
