Since you skipped civics in school, if you are born on US soil you are a citizen regardless of parents citizenship.
This is another symptom of the demographic marginalization of the GOP. At the national level, they cannot compete, simply because of the numbers and the fact that white people are slowly losing their majority status and power. Currently, the GOP relies on Gerrymandering to control state legislatures and Congressional districts. The proposal to let states override federal law is a ploy to end around their dwindling power at the federal level.
You seem to keep missing the point. We are discussing eliminating birthright citizenship.
Therefore I'm questioning what makes you a citizen. You said your parents were citizens. What makes them citizens? Being born here? Because apparently that's not enough.
Gerrymandering is a two way street moron, look a Bawney Fwanks old district, he retired because they redrew it to make geographical sense instead of cherry picking a route from suburban Boston to Fall River
Sure, but it's the GOP'S last vestige of power left. At the national level, the demographics are inevitable. And rather than adapt to those changes, the GOP base, particularly in the South, drive the party to antagonize racial minorities.
To get the nomination means automatically killing your chances in the general.

That's a dumb question. If you change the rules for citizenship, the changes would only affect those born after the laws are changed not retroactive.
I'm not over exaggerating. Your parents, why were they citizens?
I don't see how you are missing this.
Yes they were, so were their parents and their parents before them and theirs before them. Before them a couple of them immigrated to this country legally, shocking I know.
Are you being purposely obtuse or do you have a point?
Ah, as usual taking the obtuse route with nothing of substance to contribute. Good to see nothing has changed with you.
I'm just wondering what makes you more American than anyone else who is born here? It's a fair question. And honestly, if you can't prove your family went through some sort of naturalization process, then you're just the anchor baby of an anchor baby who is trying to claim to be more American than other anchor babies.
