Yes he's been hit a few times, but this D is fast and I don't think they want Nico running in the open taking more of a chance of getting hurt. That's my take on what I'm seeing, I'm not making the calls. He's already getting hit???? Why not use his athletic ability to stretch the field and move the ball?
But Nico has demonstrated he is good at getting down without getting hit when he runs and our offense is struggling mightilyYes he's been hit a few times, but this D is fast and I don't think they want Nico running in the open taking more of a chance of getting hurt. I don't think one designed run would hurt. Just doing it one time would help open things upThis looks like a very conservative game plan, whatever that tells you. The way Oklahoma has played defense (furiously) the game plan has been a good fit, really. I've been surprised that the offense hasn't taken more "shots". Designed runs would be good here, but it's a lot of wear and tear on your qb.
why we watch and you or anyone else is not on UT payroll enjoy the win...GBO!!Where are the designed runs for Nico? Why haven't we seen one play where he just takes off running???? I get the injury aspect, but he is getting pressured and hit anyway. A designed run here and there would make things much harder on their defense.
While I understand there’s gonna be a lot of this talk. I think Venables actually had a great game plan. Even down to the grass length on the fieldBut Nico has demonstrated he is good at getting down without getting hit when he runs and our offense is struggling mightily
We didn’t see alot of designed runs for milton last year either.Where are the designed runs for Nico? Why haven't we seen one play where he just takes off running????
