Congratulations to Kentucky. You demonstrated great character and heart. And your staff put their players in a position to win.

Does that mean we're gonna beat Florida eventually?

Michigan just beat OSU for the first time in 7 years... yeah.. we'll get the turds next year. Weiss might be on his way to his next gig by then, and they will be in turmoil once again... It's all good.

Thanks.. My butt-cheeks was squeezed so tight the last couple minutes of that ball game if I were to have stood up the couch cushion would have came with me.. lol

Seriously though, don't get discouraged. Look at how much experience your underclassmen have got this season. No power D1 school in the country could give their freshman the experience that UT gave to theirs this year. Thats just going to make them that much better next year. To me this isn't the season for you'all to get all mad over. It was kind of expected. Now NEXT season on the other hand will be a little different. Because the underclassmen jitters are out and they will be expected to get out on the field and perform, from game 1. ... Us on the other hand....not so much.

Yeah congratulations. Hope it speeds up the process of getting a coach that we didn't get at K-mart during the blue light special deal.

Agreed. They played like crap, and beat us because Dooley is a complete disaster of a coach. Jmo, but congrats KY.

I think Dooley was just throwing freemen in their at the tail end of the season to inflate his number of freshman played excuse, but thanks for the positive/delusional reinforcement

You guys deserved it, man. I'm not trying to take away from your victory today at all, but there just aren't many acceptable excuses to use for losing to one of your worst teams in a long time while you're playing a damn wide out at receiver. Things just aren't good here. But, celebrate the win; your team and fans deserve it.

It was just bad all around. Neither team played well. I fully expect to see UT go .500 in conference play next year and then build upon it from then on out...

It's just a weird feeling though. I don't know what to feel/think about Joker Phillips. I can't help but to love him today, but taking a step back I still don't know if he is best for us. We have some decent recruits coming in, so I guess we'll give him some time. Kentucky will always be a stepping stone to a power program or a career ender. I guess as much as I don't want to admit it, he is the one for us who will not leave for greener pastures due to him so closely tied to the school. I just wish he would get a better staff in!

From the outside, I wouldn't be in favor of keeping Joker if I was a UK fan. He has done nothing to show he'll ever compete in the SEC. It just depends on whether UK is serious about football or content to stay with the status quo.

True.. A site similar to kentucky sports radio said that at one point in time uk had contacted some coaches who were not currently coaching to see if there would be any interest but it was supposedly so under the table that it will never come out. I have the link to it. I guess that has changed now. It spoke about Houston's coach, some guy who I don't know, and Leach. But Barnhart said today that Joker is the guy. I am trusting that he knows more than I do. However to the fan's eye it just looks like make-up over a black eye with the UT win.

I think Barnhart is content with UK being a basketball only school, and really doesn't give a crap about football, so he's content with Joker. That's just my opinion.

I can't come on here and anywhere close come to bragging. But, losing 26 years to one team is tough and I'm 48. We've had just a brutal season, to end the streak gives us one bright spot. I'd hate to be be Dooley right now. If you told me a WR, who's never took a college snap, could win with 14 passing yards (against anyone), I would've laughed at you. Hey, thank God for basketball and Coach Martin has been great so for you guys - Go SEC!

Wow. What a condescending thread. I must have missed the other 6 like it this season. C'mon. Are you serious? Seems like we are trying to coddle our redheaded step-child to the north with this thread. This would never happen vs. Bama, UF, UGA and the like. :machgun:
