Tough call. I wouldn't think so, but I wouldn't have seen Howell starting over Ramar either.
Difference in that scenario is the senior is starting over the soph, not vice versa.

Personally, I think Pearl will leave Jujuan as the starter. But Prince is coming in with a bang. If he keeps it up, who knows? Either way, I think he sees a LOT of minutes this year.

That's why I think it's a tough call. If it was the other way around, it would probably be a no brainer.

Pearl likes to start seniors, I don't see him putting JP in over JaJuan unless JaJuan reallllllly pisses him off somehow.

Quote on JP from Fran Fraschilla on ESPN.com today:

• I watched J.P. Prince the summer before he entered Arizona as a freshman and thought his play was uninspired and lacked intensity. But the J.P. Prince that has given Bruce Pearl's Tennessee Vols a jolt upon becoming eligible at the end of the fall semester is a completely different player.

Prince is perfect for the Vols' frenetic style because he thrives in open-court basketball. But, he has been equally effective -- offensively and defensively -- in a cerebral half-court setting. That's no surprise because his dad, John, was a long-time college coach. Prince will be a huge difference-maker come SEC play.

Quote on JP from Fran Fraschilla on ESPN.com today:

For people that watched JP play in HS his current play is no surprise. He was a dominant player on the best HS basketball team in the state - for 3 years. There was a reason Lute recruited him at Arizona. He got out there and like alot of freshmen fifteen hundred miles from home he wasn't himself. It happens, a lot.

It's good to see him playing well. He should be a complement to the team this season. I don't think we'll see him in the starting lineup.
