I said last year that Dobbs would leave Tennessee as the 2nd best QB in program history.

Right now he looks well on his way.

I'm not old enough to remember Shuler(was born in 89), but seems weird to me that he's so low on both lists.

Dobbs will end as one of our best all-time. I hope some of those who constantly criticize him realize this and begin to enjoy what they're seeing before it's too late and he's gone. . .

Totally agree. And he is an outstanding young man off the field as well. A great ambassador for Tennessee Football.

Oh damn, you're back. :cray::banghead2::cray:

--I will give you this, you are slightly less maddening than SeniorBuzz on the basketball forum. :bash:

He was only the starting QB for two years (sophmore and junior years), and split time in the first 2 or 3 games of his sophomore year with Jerry Colquitt. He also had a stacked RB corps which chipped into his stats somewhat.

2,754 yards are needed to pass #2 Casey Clausen.

Here is the total ypg needed depending on season outcome:

8 games = 344.24 total ypg
9 games = 306 total ypg
10 games = 275.4 total ypg (this would require playing in SECCG and making to the playoff championship game)

His current avg is 260.4. Beating Clausen is unlikely, but the easier portion of the schedule could inflate the average a bit.

And if you look at the names above him, you'll note that he was number one when he left after his junior year. Was quite a player.

You and me both. This kid puts that team on his back ever game. Thank u Dobbs...

I still have a hard time seeing him pass Clausen but as long as we keep falling behind early it's firing him to do more and more.

Dobbs has played a lot better than I thought he could and is dynamic. With that said he still makes critical mistakes that a senior shouldn't make. Taking those sacks for huge losses and the critical pick.

Dobbs won't be starting next year.

He'll use the graduate transfer rule or takes a medical redshirt for his alopecia. He'll be back in 2018.

Dobbs has his issues with being able to read the field and make check downs and still has a bit of issues with accuracy, but we are only 5-1 because of his play. Has ran the ball great and has made certain throws that he didn't make last year. He is getting better as the year goes by and he will have to play well for us to beat Bama.

The interception in OT was bad, but the play should've never been called in the 1st place

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from Dobbs but thought he played an outstanding game. He is a "slippery" runner, many times we had direct hits on him and he was able to slip through tackles and make extra yards. He also seems like a great young man and a tremendous representative of your fine University.
