Freeney's ordeal killed the Colts.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

What? Freeney was a beast, he had to be double-teamed cause he was killing their tackle all game, they were holding him on almost every play...that man is a beast.

Yeah, at least we didn't lose to a team that I despise. I can handle losing to the Saints because they are a classy organization.

I love the Colts and didnt mind losing to the Saints for their long futility. Forget if they are classy or not.

Colts were outcoached and outplayed. It happens. I was also very disappointed, but if it had to be another team----the Saints had this one coming.

I don't think Ive seen such a good team soooo poorly coached in a long time. Difference in thegame IMO. Not that it matters, Im a Redskins fan. Don't think Ill need to wory about the SB for a few thousand years. Congrats to ALL the Vols who made it to the big game!!!

Congrats to the three ex-Vols on their title.

And I now have FIVE former adversaries with Super Bowl titles...

God gave them the ability, the rest is up to them. He is no respector of person.

I totally agree with your analogy. God is indeed in everything we undertake. Even the athletes we watch on t.v.. Without him they would have no more talent than the ones watching. Their talent is their gift to be stellar players and they should give back anyway they can to help others less fortunate. IMO......Commish.....:peace2:

EXACTLY!!! as if god cares who wins a football game. Especially a sport where so many get hurt. He didnt create us to take some of those NFL hits. ive yet to see someone who gets a broken leg say I wanna thank God. For this post you get a thanks!

I don't think he was thanking God for the win, more thanking him for the opportunity. What did he create us for? I've heard people with broken bones thank God.

Kind of an interesting thing to add on the talk of God on here. How we should thank him for the good and the bad. My Pastor told a story about one of his friends doing some carpentry work. He hit his hand with a hammer and screamed "Thank you Lord" lol I about fell out of the pew laughing. I really appreciate these guys thanking God tho. Guys like Tebow, McCoy, and Brees really show what sports is all about. You should use your platform to be a witness for God. These high profile individuals especially. Millions of people watch them play every game and they hear that. I try to allow my faith to stand out as much as possible. If it touches the life of one person it is worth it all. God Bless all of you!!!!

The difference in the game was coaching and luck. The saints were very aggressive and it payed off every single time. The Colts, as usual, were to conservative. 6 plays in the second quarter? rediculous. Of all their high risk plays plays, the saints made all of them. It really hurt the Colts when they gave them the ball back at the end of the first half with 35 seconds left, and the saints got a field goal. And the onside kick resulted in another 7 points. Those were 10 really unnecessary points. Totally different ball game if these two things do not happen. Colts win 24-21.

We should thank God in all things, but I highly doubt he cares who wins sporting events. be thankful you're not injured, how about that?

"Luck" doesn't net you a 2 TD margin of victory.

Run first qbs is what the Titans have. No Super Bowl winning qbs fit that mold so good luck. The 2 qbs tonight are the model for a Super Bowl!

The athletic ability to run and be effective at it from the QB position doesn't nake a QB "run first." VY hasn't had that mentality since his rookie year, and ultimately proved this season that he can consistently make plays passing the ball from the pocket and elected to run through his reads before taking off.

I'm assuming you just haven't paid enough attention to VY's progression at this point in his career, rather than recycling the stereotype that dual-threat QB's are always run first because they can't be pocket passers in the NFL.

John Elway won multiple Super Bowls. Steve Young did as well. Steve McNair was 1-yard short from leading the Titans to a Super Bowl victory. To say scrambling QB's aren't capable of something is incredibly ignorant and flatout mistaken.

I agree with everything you said. As a Colts fan I was really disappointed in our clock managment at the end of the 1st half and the whole onside kick deal at the beginning of the 2nd half. I know it was a surprise move by the Saints but nonetheless you have to make that recovery. You are an NFL football player. How about staying on your toes and being aware that anything can happen. Also, when we went up 10-0 and got another stop. I felt like that was the perfect time to take a shot and go for the first nail in the coffin. Oh well, congrats to the Saints they earned the W. Im ready for September and the drive for Super Bowl 45. GO COLTS!!! GO VOLS!!!! GOD BLESS!!!!

If Garcon makes the catch in the second quarter then the Colts are up 21-0 and the field goals are gone. This would have made the entire difference in the game. They also went away from the running game too soon. Addai, in an unusual twist, was able to effectively run since the young recievers were not catching passes they should have. One other thing, is it really that hard to get good LB's.....short passes were killing them all night. They were constantly out of position. The secondary sucks as usual but at least the LB's were playing pretty good til tonight. Freeney's play was admirable with injury and all but I think it really cost them by not being able to put the pressure on Brees all night. Manning was great as usual, except for that one pass, but he does have some young recievers and I was just happy that they got this far. They weren't even expected to make the playoffs this year.

Yes sir! If it wasnt for God we wouldnt even be here. Always be thankful! Congrats to those 3 guys. Peyton will be back. He will have to listen to the haters but even Micheal Jordan still has them. Hopefully he will get his 2nd ring sooner than later.

As upset as I am over this loss, I can only imagine how I would feel if the Vols lost the NGG.

The dropped pass by Garcon and the 2nd half onside kick were the 2 biggest factors. Sorry but that was a brilliant call by coach Payton. No one in the history of the Superbowl had ever tried it and no one expected it.
