yea.. not really feeling it when brees thanks God and calls their super bowl destiny. couldn't the team just have earned it? cant stand when people thank God for their victories and what not (Tebow)

but anyways.. congrats to the Saints especially Meachem, Greer and Mitchell

I was for the Colts, but I would still like to congratulate these guys.

Freeney's lame ankle was the difference---that man tried, but he was at 60%--at best. Still, If Garcon catches the pass in the second quarter, Colts go up 17-0 and it is a different game all-together. The Saints were just meant to win the Super Bowl---that simple.

Oh well, my second favorite NFL team won, so it ain't all bad. Saints are the most talented team----IMO

Brees could be right about the destiny thing, but God doesn't choose sides. I have no problem with them mentioning their faith, it is their right.

For once, I believe the two best teams in the NFL played one another in the Super Bowl. Congrats Meach, Greer, and Mitchell. Hopefully Peyton will make it back soon and win another one as well.

God helped Porter with the pick 6, you didn't see it?

I wasn't focused on him the whole game, but it seemed like Greer played well. That last near INT was great coverage.

Freeney's ordeal killed the Colts.

God helps us all by giving us the ability to do what we do---and that is all I am going to say about that.

So he must have hated Arian Foster and Jonathan crompton in order to make them fumble and throw lots of interceptions. whatever. If men play good its because of mental toughness, hard work, and ability. if they play bad its a lack of those things.

If a player thanks God for a win or a big play, they should also give thanks during a loss or a crappy play.
God didn't make one team win and the other lose, He allowed the players to play to the best of their abilities and one team made more plays than the other.

With that being said, as a Christian, I really respect a superstar athlete (or singer, celebrity, etc) who gives God the glory in an interview. Just don't insinuate that God wanted your team to win, or anything like that.....

God gave them the ability, the rest is up to them. He is no respector of person.

I didn't know this about matt stover, but he points to the sky everytime after he makes OR misses a field goal. I thought that was pretty awesome. I think he gets it.

(just wish he had hit that last one  )

I will congratulate those guys just because their Vols but that doesn't mean it's not hard for me to say that. This is the worst loss I have experienced as a sports fan, hands down. I have been a Colts fan as long as I have been a Vols fan, which started as soon as I was born. I hope UT never looses a national championship game in my lifetime, I can barely handle this loss tonight.

First off, noone, not even drew brees or anyone has said they won or made plays because God liked them. Fact is everything we have or will have is because its God given. Idk what you do of what your profession is but just like the breath you breathe, that talemt was God given. No need to rag on people for their belief in God. And their is a blessing in everything, just gotta have faith and find it.

They were playing with some big holes that were finally exposed and were outschemed by the Saints today, but
the Colts aren't going anywhere. They're too good.
:good!:

Colts were outcoached and outplayed. It happens. I was also very disappointed, but if it had to be another team----the Saints had this one coming.

Yeah, at least we didn't lose to a team that I despise. I can handle losing to the Saints because they are a classy organization.
