1,000 wins for the best coach never to win an NBA title. He's also one of few people who will take the time to remind people the story should be about the game, not the peripheral crap.

Indeed. Hate the Nuggets, respect the hell out of their coach.

I feel bad that his best player is about to get dragged out of town by the balls so his wife can play high society in New York.

Eh... I'll go with Karl.

Btw I don't think it's a coincidence that Karl and Sloan have coached where they've coached and that neither have a title.

I was always a fan of his Seattle teams with Kemp and Payton. Its a shame that it just so happened to be during Jordan's time, or he would've had an NBA championship.

That's the way i feel about sloan. His best teams just came along in the wrong era.

Same can be said for a number of guys.

Karl, Sloan, Westphal, Bird, Adelman, all might've had rings if it weren't for the Bulls' run.

Would've been really interesting to see if Tomjanovich could've gone through MJ to win a championship.

Adelman just couldn't escape phil jackson pretty much.

Westphal sucks.

I can't say I was disapointed to see him achieve the wins. Players, coaches, and everyone mostly has good things to say about him. He seems like a regular guy, a guy everyone can kind of relate to.

Anybody catch the end of the spurs game? Refs need to swallow their whistle there.
