Congratulations to UT!....not so much on the win but on an outstanding college basketball game. I it didn't really matter on a national level who won that game. ESPN tried to hype it for seedings, rankings, recruiting, etc....but it was just really about bragging rights and a celebration of college basketball at its finest. Both teams played at an incredibly high level and emotion. As a Jayhawk fan, I really enjoyed watching it and hope UT-Memphis get a rematch in the tourney.

Thanks, but...

It had everything to do with seedings, if we win out, we went from a #2 to the #1 overall seed most likely.

Kansas lost to Ok St last night.

Which if we'd lost, would have given us the same number of losses. I tend to think at selection time, they'd get the 1 since UNC and Memphis would have gotten a 1 and are in the same geographic region we are.

Had we lost last night our losses would have been much better than Kansas'. We both lost to Kansas, Kentucky is better than Ok St, and Memphis is Memphis (obviously).

I think that with a loss last night, we would have been battling UNC for a 1 seed. If we win the rest of our games, we would have had a good shot, even with a loss last night. But, UNC would probably have to take a loss in the ACC tournament.

Guys, sorry you don't agree. Frankly, I couldn't give a damn. With a loss, we'd have been pretty even with UNC and Memphis. Those two are going to take precedence over us. We aren't getting a 1 seed over UNC if we are even.

Bottom line, we won, and regardless what you think we were before, we improved our perspective in almost every way.

Thanks. I was wondering how fans of other big name teams viewed this game

I had a hard time sleeping last night. I was sitting in my bed for an hour thinking about the game.

It's still too early to really worry about seedings and I dont believe theres all that much difference between a 1 and 2 seed. Teams are going to lose in their conference tourneys and there are still games to be played. My point was that I wish everyone could have just enjoyed that game for what it was......a great basketball game!

And Bruce Pearl impresses me more and more everytime I see him. He's either a really good actor when he was talking about Smith on Gameday or he really cares about that kid. And he just seems to be totally enjoying himself at every point of the game.

I still think we will lose 2 games before the seeding. Where do you guys think that would put us?

I didn't go to sleep until around 5. Too much adrenaline.

This is random, but I still have no idea how we lost to UK. I hope we lay the smackdown on them next Sat. But first things first, we have to take care of Vandy in a very tough matchup Tuesday.

Our boys have to be worn out after last night's game. They are likely physically and emotionally spent. I think the emotions will get taken care of ... but I worry about the quick turnaround to Tuesday from a physical standpoint. If anyone can do it, they can ... but I worry about it. Vandy got to beat up easily on Georgia yesterday, and we scrapped it out for 40 minutes against a very physical Memphis team. i hope we recover well and are able feed it to them in Nashville in a couple of days.
