I would like to have seen how the game would have turned out had we not allowed that ridiculous FG to end the half and dropped that sure TD in the 4th....It is what it is though...Good game to the Hokies and congrats...

It woulda definately been interesting. I'm glad that we won the way we did, but it sure would've been entertaining.

That FG shouldn't be used as an excuse by us. You have a better program right now and have had for a few years now. That's why I have not wanted to play you lately. You're too close to us and it stings a little more when you beat us. Guess it's bragging rights and right now you have them. Unless we get a regular season game you will have the last win for many years probably. Unless we meet in Bristol at the race track!:)

I've always thought BF was a good DC but my respect for him just went up a notch. That D was fast and impressive. Yalls running backs run hard as well. Congrats on the win. The Hokies came to play and played well. Good luck next season.

Thanks HartwoodHokie...Wish we had given your boys a better game but We were clearly outclassed in every area on the field tonight...Kiffin has a lot of work to do before We are relevant again...Good luck to you next season

You're right, tboy.

I tried to warn some of the overconfident fans on VN...that the Hokies are a talented, disciplined well coached team that would bring it for four quarters. I also told y'all Ryan Williams is the real deal and that Taylor is a better QB than most people realize. The Vols played really well in the second quarter, but overall did not play their best tonight. However, VT had something to do with that as well. Got to give them credit where credit is due. They are an excellent FB team, in all phases of the game.

Beamer has been kept there for 23 years, that doesn't happen if he hasn't proven himself to be a good coach. Tonight we saw the usual from them, great defense and good special teams. Their offense just happened to be on par with those two aspects tonight.

It's a tough loss to swallow, for sure. We left a lot of points on the field and sent off the heart and soul of this team with a crushing loss.

With that said, VT is a good program that is very well coached and showed up to win the game. They gave us 60 minutes of wall-to-wall and we just weren't in it seemingly.

I know it, Damn Monte cheated up too far in the zone and wasn't able to recover fast enough to cover that receiver downfield. Coaches killed us on that play. Good call

Great game VA Tech. Solid team, well-coached, well-executed.

Hope we can catch up soon!

Should have joined the SEC instead of the ACC, though... you'd fit well in our league.

They did have some fans who were stupid, impolite, and downright disrespectful to the Vols during a couple of moments like this.

It's sort of odd that some expected Kiffin to be nice to their old fart of a coach after they behaved the way they did.

Being from the tricities, this loss is very hard to take. It is hard to admit, but the best team won. VT dominated the LOS and deserved to win. Unfortunately, Beamer has their program at a level that the Vols still can only strive for (for now). I was at the game and their fans were all very nice trhat I dealt with. Congrats to the Hokies. Let's get better and get them next time.

Took my Hokie family down to ATL for the game. I can't tell you want great fans you have. My 10 and 14 year old boys really enjoyed your fans. You guys were respectful and so not like FLORDIA. Thanks for not being like so many other teams we play. I remind my kids to root for your team without puting down the other.....and that's what you guys did. Thanks again!

Come'on man. Show some class when you're on an opponents board and they're trying to congratulate you.

To the Vols,
I enjoyed my time in atl and only met one disrespectful (very drunk) tenn fan. I really do feel that our teams are pretty evenly matched, and that this game couldve gone either way. It was just our night. Good luck to you next year.
