Shout out to the team for putting it together late and doing what needed to be done to pull out the win. We're 3-2 and right where any sane expectations had us. Sure we've got plenty to work on, but keep your heads up boys and give it your all going into this tough stretch of games. I, for one, will be pulling for you guys every step of the way.

You're fighting a losing battle with some of these guys. They're from the instant gratification generation and apparently they are all very wealthy because they must feel a head coach salary is too much of a step down for them. Otherwise they would take the job and lead us to 14-0 seasons every year. They always seem to know just what should have been done in every game.

I'm glad only sane fans could see that, yet, another Sunbelt team would gain nearly 400 yards and take UT to the brink of OT.

No bro, we're just sick and tired of being a punching bag and getting our teeth kicked in by every SEC team. Did I think we'd be 3-2 right now...yes. But, I did however expect a more cohesive and well-coached football team...from fundamentals all the way up. Havent seen it. Hell, its almost worse than Dooleys teams.

Thanks Worley, but shouldn't you be watching film?

The freshman played well today. It's nice to see them making some contributions.

You may have ordered it 4 coaches ago but Butch has only been here 5 games. Wanting a huge turnaround in 5 games is wanting instant gratification.

Yes, there is a point when the fact that we are a large, division 1 team with elite facilities, tradition, and potential should make a difference. No, we aren't a good team but to barely beat a team, at home, that has only been playing football for three years? Really? Wow, I just don't believe we are that bad. Tonight was not a good night for this team and the programs progression.

I guess UT is the only team who ever doesn't blow out an inferior opponent, oh wait, no they're not. Here are a few other examples of teams who either struggled or lost to teams they shouldn't have-
Nebraska-37 Wyoming-34
Oregon State-46 EWU-49
Cal-37 Portland State-30
USCjr-28 UCF-25
Penn State-31 UCF-34
Illinois-42 SIU-34
Michigan-28 Akron-24
Michigan-24 UCONN-21
USF-21 Mcneese St-53 (That's embarrassing for any FBS team)
UK-26 WKU-35
UNC-41 ECU-55
WVU-24 W&M-17
Just to name a few so far this year

It could be said that S. Alabama is a very good Football Team. It could also be said I'm proud of the Vols effort. I guess anything could indeed be said? No?

OK....So? I love it when people use other things (teams in this case) to justify that your team didn't perform well.

Did you feel better about UT's team before or after today's performance (UT's...not justifying through another team)?

Calm down or you will have to forfeit your Big Green Egg. Go cook something low and slow.

Cut that out! These guys revel in their misery. I'm still waiting for one of them to take the job and lead us to victory. I can easily see how a game like this happens. It was right between two really tough games and Ga. coming in next week. It's easy to have a letdown. Of course, I guess that's just making excuses for this horrible coach and team. I should really give up and join the legions of the miserable.

I'm saying every other team has gone through the exact same thing at some point..... It's not that hard to figure out, for most, anyways.

Yes, they have. But UT has gone through way too many of them as of late. UAB, Troy, USA. There is no reason UT should let these teams hang around.

I did earlier. :)

Man I agree it's getting really old getting our asses whip in every sec game. Then everybody says be patient we will be better next yr. Then its the same old story the next yr. I've seen tes slump but this is ridiculous. Its not so much that we lose games but its the way we lose getting blowed out and watching our players not giving a 110% that's what I'm tired of
