break Manning's single season record of yards and TD's this year IMO. Manning holds the record with 3,819 passing yards and 36 TD's. Bray is on pace for 4200 yards and 42 TD's and i don't see him slowing down.

i was at the game today and I believe Bray only had about 1-2 bad throws. There were alot of drops.

He is the offense. He threw the ball 30 times against buffalo, probably more in the big games.

if his receivers catch the ball and our rbs play like i think they will against the sec defenses, i think 4000 yards is possible

Dont care about records. Records mean nothing if you dont win. Look at what Hawaii's Qb's do EVERY YEAR. Would rather have a QB that just gets W's PERIOD. Now if Bray breaks records and WINS, then thats cool. BUT, JUST WIN BABY!!!!

I think he'll get the yards, but the TD's will be difficult, especially when facing the LSU and Bama defense.

I think the 2 TDs every game streak ends against LSU in 2 weeks.

I don't see Tyler struggling a whole lot any time this season, even if we have terrible games.

October will have a lot to say about that

Besides maybe reading complex defenses, Bray is an NFL ready QB yesterday. Flame away, I dont care at all.

The rest of October will slow him down....

Let's be honest, that was one of the worst teams to play in Neyland the last decade. Only Western KY was worse, I think. I even think Martin was better.

Not to fret though. If he can produce half the game he did today, we might surprise someone. However, he did have some wickedly bad throws that worked today that won't work for the rest of the month. Da'Rick's TD is a TD for the other team any other time this month for sure.

You are equating wins to QB play, and that is something that really gets on my nerves.

A QB can play terribly and have the defense win it for him. A QB can also play excellent and have the defense, RBs, or special teams lose it for him.

I would much rather have a QB that plays great (like Bray) than a QB that is average, but is on a winning team.

Wins should not determine a QB's ranking. That's like saying Fred White is better than Eric Berry because White won a national championship and Berry didn't.

Imagine how dumb someone would sound saying that.

Which QB had the better day?

A QB that goes 26/36 for 310 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INTs, but his team loses 38-35.

A QB that goes 5/14 for 55 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT, and one fumble lossed, but his team wins 14-7?

Not so fast my friend. Reading complex defenses is what determines success in the league. That's 75% of it at the minimum.

Krab, I agree. But everybody is so caught up in his "NUMBERS". Records and impressive stats are great, but if they dont equate to a win, then thats what they are, just "NUMBERS". Just like PEYTON was the Greatest QB that never won a NC, but Martin won a NC, and Id take PEYTON over Martin any day. But we leaned on PEYTON too much and we never won a NC with him. With Martin on the other hand it was other parts of the team that stepped up and we ended up winning a NC. I want us to have the best of both worlds, have great QB play and other areas of the team step up.

Why do you keep saying this in every ****ing thread. Two plus TDs in 9 straight games one including at the ****ing swamp minus Hunter.

Because he's one of the biggest, back door opening morons around.
Mr hypothetical man--a fool who guesses as to what would have happened, or what may happen, based off of misinformation, or just the lack of ability to understand basics.

I would agree with you that I would rather have an excellent team and an average QB than an average team and an excellent QB.

However, this UT team is not great. The defense is average, the o-line is average, our kicking game is below average, but our passing game is excellent, so far, mainly thanks to Bray. And I firmly believe that you cannot knock down Bray's legacy if the team loses because of special teams or the defense.

So you cannot blame Bray for losses if we lose 38-35, and he has over 300 yards, 0 INTs, and 4 TDs. And you cannot give credit to a QB that has a terrible game, but the TEAM ends up winning.

There's a reason it's called a "team sport." I think we can blame the media for making us think that QB's are responsible for wins or losses since they say that everyday. The media is terrible and they sensationalize and generalize things way too much. Football is much more complicated than wins = great QB.

What I'm saying is that wins do not make a QB great. Wins make a TEAM great.

Production makes a QB great. Production = numbers.
