I think we should congratulate the officials. It is their 2nd win against us this year.

I still can't believe that they ruled the "catch" on the Jackson penalty...what a joke.

I'm excited by our future on the offensive side of the ball, but boy oh boy, did we piss that one away.

You can't lay any blame on the coaching staff. They had a solid scheme and made some great adjustments. The blame for the pissing of the game away lies squarely on the players.

Lincoln missed the extra point because he tried to baby the kick through and semi-launched one of his signature low kicks. Our secondary just is not quick enough to make plays. Our corner back blew his coverage on the long pass play with 30 seconds left and JJ made a good play just to get their from safety. When they did get into position, they made some poor decisions that cost us in the form of personal fouls.

On the pass play where Janzen Jackson got called for the personal foul, the officials blew that call. The ball overtly hit the ground. You could see the ball pop up during the receivers roll and attempt to get his hands around the ball.

The coaches did everything that you can to win this game. Our lack of talent on defense could not close the deal. As excited as I am for our offense in the future, I'm just as worried and concerned about our lack of defensive talent. We are a 7 win team as it stands next season. We don't have the defense to get it done.

Somehow I can't bring myself to say congrats when all that Lincoln had to do was kick a simple epa.

Well, gotta say, the loss is devastating and seemed rather unjust, but I can't let it bog me down. This Tennessee team has a lot of potential and they will bounce back from this, that I feel certain of. Our coaching staff is legit. And our players are legit. The players and coaches are all mad, I'm sure, but they can do nothing except take a very hard learned lesson. And it seems we must accept the same punishment! Show some positivity at the very least. Everyone is bummed so why make it even worse by beating a dead horse? I mean, really who here is devastated? Really now, fans of the Tennessee program should be well adjusted to situations like these. Not to say that disappointment is expected but it is surely has been apart of the program as of late! So I say, embrace it. Show your full support for the program by accepting this game for nothing more than what it really is; a loss.

Life goes on, Vol fans! Go Vols! :peace2:

Edit: PS Farewell, Lincoln! See ya never!

What burns me more then anything now that I think about it, is yet another loss to an ACC team.

I believe that's 0-4 in the last 4 meetings. Someone can check the stats on that but I think that's right. Now I'm really sad.

I just settle for the payout they gave the refs on that last play

"Wait, I called the game over all ready"
"But Butch just handed me a bundle of Benjamins"
"The play is being reviewed"

I have never seen refs call game over then come back and review the call and order the players back on the field. Granted, there was 1 second left, but don't call the game dude if you weren't sure. When he called it, they should have packed up and left the stadium.

UNC just beat one of the least talented UT teams in many years by 3 points in double OT in a very controversial game. Congratulations, UNC. You're STILL irrelevant in football, just as you've always been.

But I'm happy to congratulate you on another of the accomplishments of your storied football program. You lead the nation this year in dismissals, suspensions, and the number of papers written for the team by tutors. Now for that, at least, I can offer you sincere congratulations. You're a credit to college football.
