You guys did get lucky... But a win is a win, and a loss is a loss.

Tennessee still has a shot at making a bowl game, if we can get Ainge and Schaeffer healthy in time for the Auburn rematch.

Yeah, as much as I can't stand them - ND played hard and was in a position to take advantage of a big break.

Congrats ND.
We'll send postcards from our Bowl Game. Expect them in South Bend sometime late December to first of January.

Dont worry, we know you'll be home to get them.

I must say #44 from ND is a great D-lineman I have not seen Munoz or Sears get beat that many times by one person.

How could you turn around like that? You're the saddest excuse for a fan I've ever seen.

Now go flush your head down a toilet, you chowder head.

Props to the Irish. I was really impressed with their defensive front -- made our run game and O-line look horrible.

How'd they get "lucky"?

The only place we got beat was on our o-line... they kicked our @$$. Losing E was the differnce in the game... Clausen just sux. He made a couple of good throws, but the pick-6 was the difference in the the game.

It's sort've a trick question: Do you count yourself lucky if all in the same game, 1st- Your opponent's coach makes a moronic move which combined with a pitifully bad snap leads to not only their best QB getting hurt, but forcing them to rely on a 3rd stringer with no snaps this year; and, 2nd- That 3rd string QB makes a Jr. High level stupid throw to nobody rather than take a sack on his 1st series deep in their territory leading to what's ultimately the game winning touchdown? I'll leave out the other bad snaps, leading to drive killing sacks.

Not only is there the question about whether the other team acting multiply moronic count as you being lucky, there's the issue of whether, even if it would count as lucky in normal situations, it counts in a situation like this when TN's coach and some players have acted moronic on and off before this year?

ND's not going to a bowl game? Last time I checked they had 6 wins, and that would make them bowl eligable. Feel free to keep your post cards. As for luck, make any excuse you want, but I'll take scoreboard any day.

WE ARE ND!!!!!

The leprechaun granted their wish for Rick Clausen.

my team Notre Dame beat my other team Tenn. No luck was involved, I have watched both teams all year and ND is a solid team with a great coach and an awesome D. They outplayed the vols with or without Ainge.

I say again Congrads to ND.... both teams O looked pitiful up against 2 great D's, the Irish capitalized on a turnover (which under the circumstances was really Cluasen's only bad play... his O-line couldn't stop a 3 man rush all night) if the Irish can't admit that our D dominated them then they are are classless.... I admit that thier D stomped our O all night..... all that said lets regroup and move on Vols we still have an SEC championship to contend for.... GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!!!!

All games end in IF..IF..IF. If the ref had called the personal foul correctly in the UF/UT game, we could still be complaining about that loss. If Clausen had not...
If we would fire Sanders...
I remember Manning against Nebraska and others in bowl games and regular games where performance was sub par at times. Got thumped a few times himself, and made an occasional bad throw that resulted in points. Yet, he is one of the games best and UT greats. How many titles in his 4 years? Martin had one. Rick is getting bashed just because of his last name. Casey may have had to make a few attitude changes to survive his stay here, but he was sweet. Did more with less. Our other QB's had better supporting cast during their time. I'm not always a Sanders fan. Or others. I get going during a Big Orange game just as much as the next orange bleeder. But, then again I'm not a coach. What do I know about their job, or they mine. Are we a Nebraska...Then and Now program? No, we just keep reloading and coming back. Consistent coaching allows you to do that. With little to no playing time in his entire career, Rick came out cold and threw for 120. Ainge has barely done that in some games with 3+ INT. Give it a break and just enjoy the Big Orange.

Dan4vols needs to just go away completely. He's either a kid who doesn't know any better or an adult with no class and serious anger problems. It's one thing to spew venom at the team, but when you start calling people names and referring to the people who run this board as Nerds, you've got issues.

Congrats ND. You did what you had to do to win the game. No excuses here. With or without Ainge, we had chances to win the game and did not do it. Ainge being hurt had absolutley nothing to do with CJ Fayton dropping a pass that could have easily resulted in 6, or the terrible execution on 4th and 1. Our defense played their butts off. Their defense did, too, and also made a play to score, and make the difference in the game. We did the same thing 2 weeks ago, and told bammers to shut up with their excuses. Same situation here.

And congrats to ND fans, as well...once again, the REAL ND fans that come to games, etc, were as classy as anyone in the country. In the 3 times I have seen UT-ND play, I think I might have had one or two things said negatively to me, and that includes a trip to South Bend a few years ago where I sat right in the middle of ND fans. congrats to you all...just too bad you have folks claiming to be real fans on the internet and call in shows that try to talk smack and make themselves look dumb.
