After just getting home from a three hour drive from Knoxville having attended the game, here are my thoughts. It was a fun game to watch.Hats off to Leak for keeping his cool because I have never heard it this loud in Neyland Stadium before.Loud,Loud! The guys around me were a fun group.About 6 people below me were escorted out before kick off because someone wanted to fight (2 UT fans)?I can honestly say UF deserved to win simply because they dominated the offense and defensive lines.A strength of ours once upon a time.We could not stop the rush on Ainge either, but Ainge deserved the win IMO with his overall play.I'm not happy about it but I am concerned we may very well lose 4-5 more games.I think we will have a good shot in the Swamp next year with Leak gone.In closing, I'm not sure if the Gators are as good as a Auburn,Bama,UGA, and LSU though. They should wax FSU this year though.I had fun picking my son up at Maryville College(15 minutes away) and taking him to the game anyways!

Hey there, my friend. Sorry, didn't see this until now.

I appreciate your comments. I too felt that Ainge played great considering that his O-line just was not doing its job. Watching it on tv, the commentators would say before plays, okay, here comes the corner blitz again. And again, no one from UT seemed to react to it. I thought going into the game that it would be the other way around -- i.e. UT harrassing Leak to no end. Not saying they did not get to him, too, but the Florida D seemed a lot stronger versus your blocking scheme than the other way around.

And I am really glad to hear that you got to take your son to the game and enjoy it with him. I actually had to listen to the first quarter on the radio and it was loud even on that!! I am sure it must have been just a great atmosphere and taking your kid to a place like Neyland for a game like this has got to be right up there with life's great moments.

The SECE race is on in earnest and we jumped out to a lead. But that is all it is right now, a lead. I agree with you on that.

Now, do I detect a little trash talk for next year ALREADY, LOL? Well, I suppose ti is never too early for that, right? I don't know, though, Tebow and Harvin and the rest of those guys coming back next year ....

Tebow and Harvin and the rest of those guys coming back next year ....

If Tebow develops into a decent passer, I'm going to need a bottle of Advil for the next couple of years. He's clearly much tougher than Leak.

I don't know if he's "better." They are just totally different guys with completely different skill sets. I am just hoping none of the receivers goes pro too early. I do like the way Meyer is trusting and showing confidence in Tebow. Putting a true freshman in to run the SAME play we'd run five times before, on 4th and one, with the game on the line.... that's cajones. For both Meyer and Tebow.

The thing Tebow brings though is the threat of the QB keep which in my mind is the key to the spread option. With Leak in there, it's basically just the Run and Shoot offense with a little "pretend" option thrown in.

 Exactly. Meyer, still hoping to bring that scheme in at Florida, was salivating at Tebow and Harvin. A QB that can run and isn't afraid to (see for the flip side Leak) and speed at WR in Harvin and others. Meyer will have a spring in his step at the beginning of next fall because he is anxious to prove his offense will work in the SEC with the right talent.

Bama is not that good this year, they have played nobodys so far, and UGA is tough, but there QB play is a little suspect at the moment, even though stafford is gona be great, hes not there yet.

Thanks hohenfelsvol. Very nice of you to post.

One game. Both have 9 more to go, 7 of which are SEC. So I'll take the congrats on the victory Saturday and set my sights now on protecting our slim one game lead.

And I think you are right, utfantilidie. That's why I give us a 50-50 shot from here to win the SECE even though we are one game up on you and probably ought to be favored to beat UGA.

i think you beat UGA, lose two conf. games and go to the SEC CG...which should be a good game, as it will likely be a rematch against LSU or Auburn...

TN may very well beat UGA, but we'll lose to LSU and probably finish 2nd in the East...not awful. 1 freakin pt away from the SECCG though might be a bitter pill to swallow if it comes true.

but that's what rivalries are all about, right?
