overrated is incorrect in a large way. this is a very solid basketball team but is does have some glaring weaknesses (and very few don't).

We got jack tonight from our best basketball player, Tyler Smith, and we need to address that. I don't know if his first big SEC road game go to him, or what, but he didn't show up. He does anything positive on the night and we are having a different discussion now.

I understand your negative viewpoint because I'd rather see a blind gorilla than CPF roving our football sidelines, but you're not even close here.

How is a team overrated when they lose a close conferance away game against a team who is better than there record? And the Vols have just been through the roughest stretch of games as anyone will play all year. They had a off night, that is all.

The SEC may be down this year, but you still can't take anything for granted. UT didn't play up tot heir potential and it showed. That doesn't mean they won't go far in March... if we beat them in Knox, and esp if we beat Memphis, this won't seem that big of a deal. It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth for now.

I'll help. Paulus sucks and can't play D. Would get abused by any press. Nolan Smith is better but makes freshman plays. Surely you can tell me about the rest of the lineup.

If they can start shooting all the three's from the
collage line instead the nba. i think the % will go up
but the free throw is there downfall right now.
it cost us tonight. teams will find out they mussel
us and fowl because we dont make them pay at
the line.

Duke will lose their fair share of ACC games this year, (possinbly even this Thursday at VA Tech) but c'mon, you're being unreasonable.

While Greg Paulus may be even worse than Howell, Duke is still Duke. With a strong infuse of wing players, three point shooters, athleticism, etc, this team could go back-to-back with UT, quite easily.

who are the infusion?

They don't defend very well, they haven't shot very well, they don't rebound well, and they're not particularly athletic. They have a very prominent hole in the center of their team as well, but aren't anywhere near as athletic as we are. How am I being delusional.

You're right as far as rebounding, and a hole in the center.....sound familiar????

Minus hitting the boards, Duke has been defending quite well thus far. You're fooling yourself otherwise.

duke's defense today is predicated altogether on playing no one. their D is not the tenacious outfit that the media wants you to believe. For goodness sake it has Sheyer, Paulus and Singler on the floor for the majority of the time and none of those guys are defenders, Henderson's just a leaper. I guess that leaves us with one defender.

Scheyer and Singler have both proven to be tremendous on-ball defenders through this short season. Thinking otherwise, is just a matter of not paying attention. Paulus is horrific, and deserves no excuse whatsoever.

we're realistically probably one of the 12-15 best teams in the country which is still nothing to feel too bad about considering where we were a few years ago

you must mean on-ball as in when it's on the rack. Otherwise, you haven't watched either of them defend someone athletic. Scheyer will have his ass handed to him by Ellington and there's just nobody on the UNC team for Singler to guard.
