True but at the same time Fulmer is probabling saying a "BIG THANKS" to the Vol secondary for keeping his job alive...for the time being. Nice to see some spark for the running game as well.

For all the coaching experts (observations from a Michigan Fan):

Speaking from the Ann Arbor perspective, change can be painful . . . .

When Lloyd lost to App State and Oregon last year there seemed to be a
widespread feeling that the game had passed him by. Then they won eight in
a row (admittedly the big ten was not great) and got back in the top 20.
They lost the last two with Henne and Hart both hurt. Then whipped Urban
Renewal and the Gators with a healthy team.

Rumors are that the generation who played for Bo was sick of Carr, sick of
losing to OSU, and sick of a team that always looked tired in the 4th
quarter. They wanted Miles, one of their own, and apparently he had told
people he was ready to come. Supposedly the admin knew Carr was going to
retire before the season started. What annoyed many of the faithful is that
they did not have a deal for Miles ready to go last Jan. The scuttlebutt is
Lloyd disliked Les and put the kibosh on his hiring. Hiring RichRod should
have been a coup, but wound up looking terrible with his WV exit. He brings
in the vaunted spread and we wind up looking terrible (ignoring the fact
that he lost the ten or fifteen best players to graduation, early
departure, or transfer).

I think what bugs Wolverine fans the most is we hate the spread. We loved
having pro-style QBs and receivers and hated getting beat by everyone's
spread.

The consensus is Rodriguez will win regularly, but it will take a couple of
years and it sure won't look like the Wolverines we saw in the past. Who
knows?

One thing is for sure, if Fulmer goes you will likely have lots of painful
transition.

Who knows? Go Vols. Congratulations Coach Fulmer.

Congratulations, Coach Fulmer, for putting the program in a position where a win over Mississippi State seems so enormous and important.

It doesn't seem to be important, it is an important mile stone for any coach in football to reach 150 wins for a single school.

That milestone is a millstone hanging around the necks of all Vols fans right now. Not 150 wins, of course, but Fulmer's narcissistic desire to hang on until he can squeak by Gen. Neyland. Can't wait until 2013 when Fulmer finally has his record and we can get on with rebuilding the program.
