I think I missed what everyone is talking about. Why wouldn't Stephens play in front Crompton especially since he is stinking it up out there?

I think Fulmer is worried about another headcase like 05 if he starts shuffling QBs.

For the same reason's Crompton never started over Ainge last year.

Ainge, even injured, gave the best chance on Offense. Crompton, somehow, gives a better chance on Offense.

Pretty much the same thing that Brent Hubbs had to say this afternoon on Sports Talk

I think Stephens will start at least 1 game due to Crompton's ankle, especially since he think he can run safetys over.

I think Crompton would find that his rating would go up if he would just play Clawson's offense the way he designed it. I.E. throwing completions to open receivers.

Well if he can pick up the other 75% of the offense that Crompton apparently can't grasp and can throw to some else other than the 1st option then I'm all for him

Or run the plays that Clawson called.

Rumor is that the plays called by Clawson from the booth did not match what was run on the field on Saturday. This happened numerous times (allegedly).

That wouldn't surprise me at all. Is it Crompton or is it Fulmer that is the cause for it?

Yeah, that butting heads with a safety thing makes me question the brain power of our starting qb.

At least it was safeties his freshman year. He can't butt heads with CBs this year. I don't understand where his cockiness went. At least it was somewhat of an asset.

If phil is butting in and changing the calls from the sideline i'd resign if i were dave clawson. Unless he knew CPF would do that coming in. If not i'd be mad as you know what.

I think I referred to the backup scenario in another thread as being like an orgy at a retirement home. The mind may be willing, but the body usually doesn't do what the mind wants. That's why most starting quarterbacks play, and most backups become coaches.

every time its third and long this season, I think Crompton has tried to scramble for a first down and only gotten like 2 yards.. what da hell is he thinking???

i mean, when it's 3rd down and like 10 or fifteen yards, you dont run.. at least throw the ball deep, or try to get it to a playmaker such as Jones, and see if he can get the YAC with his feet..
GEEZZZZ!!

the playcallin looks nothing like what fulmer was calling when he was oc. fulmer had a power running game and play action with deep threats and 20 yard crossing routes. this is still a dink and dunk type offense.

No, No, NO the reason Crompton is playing over Stephens is because, it is his turn. Philip is a fair and honest man and it is Johnathon's turn, so Nick will just have to wait his turn, like good little boys do, to play!

Tell that to C.J. Leak, Rick Clausen, A.J. Suggs, and Joey Matthews

Crompton should have been pulled...............If I ever catch one of my kids on my team slapping another players helmet, he will run till he quits.
