Conflicting rumors all over the place...(Kevin Sumlin)

If Dooley's canned, it better be for a better option than Sumlin. You're just asking for the same thing all over again. No more WAC or C-USA coaches.

+1000

I am sure this is another BS rumor, but if you replace dooley with sumlin, this would be another gamble and I really question why we would be making a move at all. Keep Dooley and see if he can get this mess straightened out next year OR replace him with a can't miss name coach and throw a ton of money to make this happen.

No more up and comers, no more coordinators with potential, this has to be a grand slam hire or don't make a move at all. This program has been going backwards for 5 years now, its time to make a smart, well thought out decision on a new coach if we go in this direction.

Yeah, because I totally just throw crap like this around. It's a rumor, and I presented it as such. Get over yourself.

emain- From my experience, I know you to be a straight up guy. I'm not surprised with anything at this point.

Bowling Green Utah not comparable?

MAC coaches actually have a pretty solid track record. Turner Gill is the first MAC hire since Ron Cooper (EMU '93-'94, Louisville '95-'97) who has been fired from his subsequent job for on-field stuff (Haywood was fired for domestic assault before he coached a game)

And, for the record, Sumlin will have as many BCS games on his resume as Urban Meyer did when he was hired by Florida, here in about a month.
