Oh I completely agree. Having a tangible ticket doesn't stop that from happening though. I'm even guilty of it. I got to watch the beat down from Florida from the 5th row instead of the 50th.

I do enough to show my fandom. And I also like priority, but lately it hasn't been a factor at all. Paying for tickets really weeded out a lot of soft fans. And I guess I should mention none of these systems are bad, after all, some teams, like Texas, it's a crap shoot to get a ticket. We are pretty lucky here.

Here's hoping they don't raise the prices too much.

Being able wait and know you'll have a ticket that could be just as good or better than a ticket you got on the first day was definitely a plus. The only problem was sometimes we had a group of 7 or 8 people wanting to sit together so we liked to get our tickets on one of the first two days just to make sure we were all able to sit together, regardless of where it was.

I've been told that sudent tickets for each individual game will be sold a week before said game up until kickoff. and all home games except for the GA, Auburn, and UCLA games are 10 dollars while the other 3 are 20 dollars.

To the question on away games...

Last year all the games were first come first serve, except for the georgia game i believe (it was a lottery system). I got my auburn tickets for face value ($40). You have the choice of buying 1 or 2 tickets. The second ticket can be for anyone. For example, i bought both tickets and used my student ID to pick them up and my brother (a non UT student) was able to use the other ticket.

Bama is away this year. I'm guessing the 3rd $20 game is either UCLA or USCjr.

I just want a definite answer from the ticket office so we know what we have to do. I'm looking at going to the Ole Miss game or going to Bama... Both would be fun trips.
