Yep. I use to pull for Bama in no conference games and bowl games especially for SEC to get another title. Last 3 years I figured it does not help Tennessee one bit...so screw Bama and rest of SEC. Go Vols and suck it Bama

I've gotten over that whole "SEC" thing. I do like another team or three in the conference and will pull for them, but Bama winning another NC doesn't help Tennessee in the least.

depends who they're playing for the NC. Anyone in the ACC besides FSU, I'll pull for Bama (I'm not an ACC fan but I do like FSU). If its Penn St or Notre Dame, I'll pull for Bama in a heartbeat. After that just depends on who it is and how the winds blowing.

Alabama vs Tennessee has been a streaky rivalry. In the past, whichever team was on the losing end of a streak, that team naturally loathed the other more. Tennessee has been so uncharacteristically down the past decade, unfortunately we got into losing streaks against BOTH our most vile rivals. The odd thing about Bama though is that they've been a dominant program for so many decades, their fans, arrogant and cocky as they may be, still seem to have at least a historical perspective and respect for the importance of the Tennessee Alabama rivalry. Florida fans, on the other hand, are simply intolerable. Perhaps our irrelevancy post Fulmer era made it worse. But as much as I hate Alabama, losing to Florida feels a thousand times worse. Dirty and gross worse. Like needing to wash in pure bleach kind of worse. With the team we have this year, losing to Florida AGAIN would have been the most unbearable moment in my life of following sports.

To put things in perspective. EVERYONE hates the Alabama program right now except Alabama fans. That's a reflection of their dominance for 8 straight years. That won't change until Saban retires or moves elsewhere. But Florida could be a doormat for 10 years, and I'd never want to even experience an upset loss to their ******* arrogant program and fans.

Realistically, I'd like Tennessee's program to get dominant to the point of exchanging wins and losses with Bama. That means we probably rematch them in quite a number of SECC games, aside from the seasonal rivalry, and likely means we win SEC Championships and a National Title. I can't realistically expect to post a long winning streak against them when they're basically an NFL minor league team. But Florida? We should already have a 3-game winning streak against them and we better not lose again to them for a number of years.

It's not that I don't understand your hatred of those teams, it's the fact that you don't hate our biggest historical rival more than those teams that we hardly ever play. I hate ND, most overrated team every year and have given the Vols 4 losses in the past. I hate Miami. Their team and fans are classless and proud of it. I hate Michigan. Stole the Heisman from Peyton and they also have an unearned superiority complex. Personally, I don't mind OSU. We've played them once and we won. No hate there, for me. But my hatred for Bama is above all.

Hate both equally but because i live in Florida, i always hope whoever they play beats the living H out of them. I will never watch a full game to pull for Alabama to beat anyone.

I only pull for either if they're playing SoCal or ND. I'll pull for bammer over the gators but that's it. I never wish to see either team win another SEC game. Wishful thinking but I can dream.

I think some people don't take hating 'Bama seriously enough. The only team I would pull for them against is UF, and that's only because I want to see Florida lose, not because I want to see Florida win. For all those saying you'd pull for them against OSU, ND, etc., I have to ask: What have any of those schools ever done to you? We've only ever played OSU, for example, once, and beat them. 'Bama is our hated rival. 'Bama has the fans that think they are superior to UT. To the fiery pits with SEC solidarity. Nobody else in the SEC gives a crap about us, why should we care about them?

If, and this is a big IF, Bama ever played the Iowa Hawkeyes, I would have to pull for Bama. It would make me sick, but living amongst the black and gold idiots up here, it would make me even more sick to cheer for Iowa. Otherwise, no.

Funny Story...as a junior at UT, I worked summers at a Catholic hospital to make extra money for school. Now, I worked outside all day and hardly ever encountered patients. This is where I need to tell everyone that I wore a hat every day that said, "Go to Hell Bama" on it. So evidently there was a Bama fan that complained and I was asked by my boss to stop wearing it. I quit the next day and spent the rest of the summer by the pool, as a lifeguard, wearing my hat....

...so, no...I have never rooted for Bammer!!!!!

No, never, I don't care who they play, how it affects us or nothing else. I want them to lose against Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida ....... every team, any team, any time they play.
