Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is bringing British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw to the Alabama-Tennessee game to give him a slice of Americana. Rice, a Birmingham native, loves football and grew up loving the Tide. But I don't recall her bringing diplomats home when Bama was going 4-9. Everyone loves a winner

I wonder if Bill Clinton will be in attendance, as well, or if he'll just send an "understudy?"

If Jack Straws impression of America is a stadium full of drunk rednecks and cry babies, we may never have support from the British parliament ever again!

I was in Australia for the World Rugby Cup in 2003. When England made it to the finals against Australia, many took the red eye 20 hour plus flight and spent roughly 15-20k in airline, hotel and final tickets. Those people are hard core. Luckily they won. I never seen so many brits storm the streets on the other side of the world. IT was crazy. They even Knighted the head coach.

I love the smell of falling poll numbers in the morning, it smells like desperation.

If Condie is a bammer, at least she has the teeth for it.
