Nice Thread. I think you can count out Trooper Taylor coming back. Callahan, Bates, or Gonzales are much more qualified. Drayton is out, I'm sure. His recruits have all committed elsewhere and he is not known as a great coach. Lofton was hired at Oakland by Al Davis, not Kiffin. He may be the next Oakland coach because no one else wants it. I think Scott will end up at UVA or Bowling Green. As for Rathman, he wants to stay in the pros. Other than that, you have most candidates listed.

The list has been updated to reflect the most current news. We should know most of the staff by next week after the NFL season ends.

If you all want to deny the reports that TT is being considered for CLK's staff because you don't like him, that's your business, but it doesn't discredit any theories. I see TT as a last resort OC. I think Callahan, Gonzalez, and Skipper are all better and more likely candidates, but that still doesn't rule out TT. Even if CLK wants to call the shots on offense, I'm pretty sure he'll use the OC tag to at least attract a better positions coach than he could otherwise get, even if they are only really OC in name and not in practice.

I'm pretty sure Drayton is out too but he is the only current staff member that they are still retaining for recruiting meetings (or so I'm told). I'm pretty sure Gran will be the RB coach and that they are just retaining Drayton for temporary recruiting purposes. I keep on hearing rumblings about CLK wanting Rathman. Perhaps that's why Gran hasn't been offered the RB coach position yet?

From what I've read, Norton Jr might be the preferred candidate for LB coach. I'm not sure of the likelihood of it happening though.

Whatever the case, this staff is going to own :worship:

Other than Trooper, I have heard all the names listed as possibilities. Some more so than others, now who freakin' knows about the salaries. The rest is pretty much what we have seen.

We have gotten Lane Kiffin, Monte Kiffin, and possibly Orgeron for less than what it would have cost to hire Butch Davis and his staff or pay Nick Saban and Co. Very nice job by Hammy.

Prices are wrong. Cregg and Reaves are gonna make 150k, Mike Smith is making 200k, Monte is getting 1.2M+, and Jackson isn't coming to UT. He's going to USC. Apparently, we've offered O 650k as well.

We were having the O salary discussion a few days ago.
This is almost twice what we were talking about. If we can't get him for that it ain't meant to be.
