I've admittedly missed many of the discussions over our new coaching staff. I saw something on govolsxtra about being wary of an NFL mentality on the team as it would attract players that were concerned about "me" rather than "team".
I don't get it. To me that seems like a coaching problem.
Above all, this openness to a revolving door type system has seemed to work for USC. Pete Carroll said during the Rose Bowl stuff that he wants his guys to go if it is the right time for them.
It seems to me that winning records + great recruiting + "we'll get you to the NFL" = more recruiters = better team = winning record, etc.
Am I missing something here?
