Ok, so I am taking this history class online, and the professor has decided to put lectures online, in windows media player format. Well I dont particularly care to listen to an hour and half per lecture, and there are plenty of them. I don't believe there is a way for it to be converted somehow so I can just read instead (how would the application even know what my professor has said to convert), but I thought I would ask!

Both of those deal with someone, which would be me, talking into a microphone. So would that actually work with saved mp3 files?

It would if you took the time to go through the complicated setup. You have to take some time and get the software accustomed to the voice and how it says different words and stuff. You might have to get a splitter and run a wire from your speakers to the mic port. I think it could be done, but it might be more trouble than it's worth.
