Believe me, I know my Tennessee football, thanks. I probably go to more road games than you do home games, so back off. I know exactly where this program has been..its been a miserable 4 years! Again, all I am saying is that we are the Tennessee Volunteers and should be able to put up a touchdown or 2 in a game like that! lol It hurts and Im just a passionate UT Alum...don't know why people like to crucify passionate, wear your emotion on your sleeve type fans like myself?? Its all out of love for my Vols, I can assure you all that.

Don't know who you're talking about, but I'm a season ticket holder, and go to all home games, and an away game every now and then, and have for several years. Im a die hard Vol fan myself, but I'm also realistic and know what this program has gone through, and that it's going to take time to get back to where we once were. It wouldn't have mattered if we'd put up a touchdown or 2 against MO, or AL. There are so many other things to be encouraged about now. I'm not going to worry about a loss to a team we weren't supposed to beat anyway.

It's not that we lost people. It's the WAY we lost.

We weren't even remotely competitive and that is UNACCEPTABLE !!!

Given our schedule and the status of the roster, it's reasonable to expect losses and a less than stellar record this year. However, it's also reasonable for fans to expect improvement over the previous staff and throughout the course of the season. Getting the utter crap beat out of us by Mizzou is NOT improvement.

We have taken a big step backwards since upsetting South Carolina. It's almost as if this team was satisfied by one or two instances of overachieving. It's the coaching staff's responsibility to not let these guys get complacent and to continue their improvement. That is not happening over the last two games and the fans have a right to point that out.

The bottom line is that Butch and Co. are not only responsible for the results 2 years from now, but they're responsible for the results now and that means meeting or exceeding reasonable expectations of improvement. That isn't happening over the last 2 ball games and they deserve to be called out on it.

I hear ya man, but its not about where we ONCE was right now! Doesn't it irritate you to see us play the way we did and put up 3 measly points?! Freshman or no Freshman...speed or no speed on D...we should be better than that bro! I don't expect miracles overnight, but come on, that performance was sickening and inexcusable and Butch knows it.

I don't care how many away games you go to, you know nothing about football. If you are truly an alum, higher education in our great state is in trouble. I doubt you made it past the seventh grade.

It just seems to me you are stating the obvious....OF COURSE NO ONE IS HAPPY ABOUT LOSING...AND LOSING THE WAY WE DID....BUT.....acting like a 14 year old girl is not the way to be respected with your opinion...Calm down man...ITS FOOTBALL....and we love it...but save your indignation for something that saves lives, property, etc...ok...now your good again...

As Vol fans we have to accept it, what can you do find another team? To be a real fan you have to take the good with the bad. Negavols need to quit *****ing and give this team and coaching staff your support, or like I mentioned find another team! Vol til' I die!:salute:

All I know is this is the first week I'm not optimistic about winning the next game. Even against Bama I had hope. Maybe since I'm so negative we will win this week. Can't hurt.

It's ok to feel the way you do. That was bad against Mizzou. Hang in there. We have beaten a top 20 team this year. Butch has motivated the alumni, base, and has a monster class coming in. We have a proven winner as our coach, and I can see why.
