Great post and appreciate the work you put into it. I believe a 2 deep would add to the analysis, but this is a good way to analyze the teams. I wonder how teams like Vandy, KY and NCSU would score. I wouldn't dare ask you to do more, but would be interesting.

I agree but there really is no way of getting the true two deep. For example Alan Posey is in the two deep at LT but if for some reason Tiny was to go down it would actually be Dallas Thomas that would move over and Marcus Jackson would play OT.

Using his formula this is what NCST looks like

This is my point to all hype around just hand over the bcs title to us, OP never made that point. Or to whom ever thinks if we don't blow state out by 100pts that it is going to be a long season.

This is one of the dumbest posts I have seen in awhile.

LSU-AP Poll #3 Coaches Poll #1
Offensive Stars-39 Defensive Stars 43= #3 Total Stars 82
Offensive Year 35 Defensive year 29=#6 Total Years 64
#4Total Off=74 #6 Total Def=72 over all #2 156

I know I am from Alabama but I think 74+72=146 not 156

Good luck and GO VOLS

I'm no recruiting expert but I've been telling everyone that will listen to get off the south carolina bandwagon. they graduated a good, although a little bit of a trouble maker, qb and a great game changing wr. everybody seems to believe they are way ahead of us. They are not. We have more talent and depth just about everywhere. I believe the east will be decided between us and UGA this year. I know UF has signed more high-profile players but the don't have a qb and are running a whole new offense this year. I would be curious to know if you included our juco players. I'm assuming yes because we have so many

Just wanted to bring this back up and hope people will realize how deep and talented Florida really is. Florida "Should" be the best team in the conference this year if you look at their talent and experience. I guess time will tell.

I like the research that went into this, and still believe we can have a great season, I am behind Tennessee and all the players and coaches 100%. We will not win the NC this year, and may not get the sec championship this year, but we have made steady improvements every year since the ousting of CPF,(the second best coach TN has ever had). Could we be in better shape? Yes. Could we be in worse? Absolutely. If most people would open their eyes, they would see that CDD took a team that no one else wanted, and has make good steps forward every year. He is becoming a good coach as the team becomes a good team. I want a great coach and a great team, we had that in 2007, but everyone seemed to hate on Fullmer and Ainge, and then Fulmer got fired the next year. We need to be behind our team no matter what. The fans being this critical does nothing positive for the program.
