If that's all the stats you have to compare then that's what you compare with. I'm just not impressed with Gruden, that's all I'm saying, it's not the end of the world.

why don't you research his commitment to the game, how he studies film constantly and can call plays before they happen on live tv. That is the work ethic and brilliance he would bring to the game. Its the kind of x's and o's coach that UT needs in our corner.

Rick Pitino has a .715 win percentage which is significantly higher than Gruden's as well. I think the OP makes a good point, let's wait out the storm with Pitino and throw the money at him.

Really guys? Comparing a coach's NFL record to another coach's college record is a real big stretch given the parity in the NFL versus college. If Jon Gruden says he's coming to Tennessee, the powers that be should be bowing as his plane touches down in McGee Tyson.
