I don't understand the Gruden bandwagon support gang.

Gruden 100–85 (.541)

VS

Bobby Petrino: 113–46

I understand Petrino is a skirt chaser but at least hire someone with a winning record.

Look at Bill Belichick’s career winning percentage. Let me know where that stacks up among college coaches. He’ll, even active college coaches.

You can't compare NFL records to college for the sake the sake of your argument. I am sure there are other questions that you could ask that would be more relevant to your question.

Bill Belichick is ranked 11th all time and tops in modern era and he sits firmly at .672 (240-117)

If that's all the stats you have to compare then that's what you compare with. I'm just not impressed with Gruden, that's all I'm saying, it's not the end of the world.

Petrino went like 9-3 with a heisman trophy winner. Let that sink in.

Heisman or not he's still just one player and last I checked, he doesn't play defense or special teams. Great player but he still needs help. Can't win em all by himself. Let that sink in.

Petrino is all offense and no D.

And has as much baggage as just about every other coach combined.

No thank you.

What was Petrino's NFL record? You cannot compare NFL to college that simply

I'm sorry but I'll take the guy that had 4 10+ winning seasons in the NFL that also included 2 12 win seasons. Not to mention he won a Super Bowl with Brad freaking Johnson as his QB. Petrino couldn't even win 10 games with the best player in the country last year. Bobby Petrino can't handle adversity. Anytime things aren't going his way he bolts. Another thing, what head coach quits on their team at the tail end of their first season by posting a laminated piece of paper at every player's locker? He's a straight coward and we don't need him. He would screw us over badly.
