Seriously, what did you expect. I'm sure he's still very bitter about the way things ended in Knoxville.

I ran into him in the Atlanta airport a few years ago and walked up and introduced myself. We had about an hour or so to kill and we sat down next to each other at the gate and chatted. It was obvious he was hurt deeply and was somewhat bitter. We spent a few minutes talking about how it ended, talked about LSU (he was their DC at the time) and his kids who still lived in Knoxville.

Speaking of Chavis, Did anyone see him getting stopped by a security guard in a yellow jacket trying to enter the field last weekend? I remember hearing about how great the A&M fans were prior to the Cotton Bowl match up w/the Vols. Heard how they stand and "yell" the entire game regardless of the score. They are great fans and Kyle Field is special but that day, a lot of them went home in the 3rd quarter.

BTW. I don't blame John Chavis for his comments. They pay him well and he is a loyal man. Still root for him, just not this week.
