Sexton isn't the issue...It's our administration not doing the slightest bit of due diligence with Schiano.

Sexton is just taking advantage of our incompetence. If it wasn't Sexton, someone else would be doing the same thing.

But it is Sexton so there's that.

Sexton isn't the issue, he's pretty much the agent for every single SEC coach or at least most of them.

Haslam is the common denominator. He has picked the last 3 coaches and tried to force this latest loser on us. And, the family owns the Browns so......

Get the Haslams out of the way and fire Currie and Davenport while you are at it.

You hit the nail squarely on the head! The problem is not the coaches' agents... the problem is the incompetence of the UT Athletic Director and his "team" in performing coach searches and negotiating contracts. Case in point: the contact for Kiffin calling for only an $800K buyout - now that was absolutely NUTS on Hamilton's part.

Another sign of Currie's incompetence is that he refuses to listen to Fulmer, Manning, and others. He refuses to listen to the fan base... you know, the very people who ultimately pay the bills and create the hundreds of millions of dollars of surplus funds for the UTAD each year. Unfortunately, if your name is not Haslam or Peterson, Currie considers you no higher than mere horse dung in the chaste system of his mind.

No, the problem lies not with the agents, the problem lies with the incompetence of the UTAD and with the UT administration at the highest levels. Otherwise, a man with Schiano's baggage and coaching record would never have been on the "Top 100 Coaching Prospect List" much less considered as "The Man" to lead the Vols.

It's not Sexton. It's not the fans. It's not a lot of things.

It's the people who run the University of Tennessee.

Period.

Do you post at Ray Gator Swamp Gas too? Or do you just prefer VN? Not attacking you because I enjoy most of your posts. Just genuinely curious how someone can rack up 11K posts on a rival board.

There are reports that Manning signed off on the Schiano hire. Regardless, this is all from one man....Haslam. He brought us Dooley. He brought us Butch. He brought us every AD since DD and that includes Currie. Currie does what Haslam tells him to do. Until we rid ourselves of Haslam, it will be more of the same.

Yep and look at all the schools that have a good coach and are on the right track that he represents!
HE has nothing to do with us being a freakin’ circus
