Tennessee doesn't have enough talent at this point everyone knew that in the preseason. They have to continue to upgrade their roster. The talent on this roster took a huge hit with the loss of Janzen, Justin Hunter and now Tyler Bray, their three best players.

The frustration for fans from Saturday night is that the Georgia game was one they could have won. Everything didn't have to go perfect for them to win that game. But a bad snap started a chain of events that let to the loss.

The delay of game penalty on 3rd and 1 was huge and should never had happened. They had run the sneak twice for first downs and had gotten like three yards on each sneak. There should be no debate there in what play you are going to run. That play should never come in late. And you call a time out there instead of getting that penalty. Poor game management following a questionable no call on pass interference.

I said they with everyone healthy would go 7-5 in the regular season and that they were closer to a 6 win team than an 8 win team so I don't suddenly think that things are way off course or behind.

Saturday was tough in my opinion because that was one that they could have won without having to be perfect and without the opponent having to play really bad.

interesting

I agree.. I think everyone drank the Dool-aid and expected greatness a little to soon.. Yes we could of won that game and that is disappointing but the program is not going in the wrong direction... We have to get more depth on our team so we don't depend on 2 or 3 guys to do everything..

I hate to say that I think many are surprised by the record, with all the so called fans ready to burn the place down because we lost 2 games that NO One except our fans thought we would win.

I don't see that, just legitimate criticism. Debate is healthy.

As Georgia and Flordia have shown in their other games, they're mediocre teams at best.

Thinking we had a chance to compete against such is hardly a reach.

Hubbs comments are dead on. Dooley can't make mistakes like that. It's bush league, and exhibit 25 or so as to why the guy is not a major college football coach.

Subtle jab at the coaching staff. They probably deserve it. You can't lay it all at the kids feet. Yeah if you're going to correct me then at least post the right spelling.

With Janzen, Justin, and Bray, I really think this could have been a 9 or 10 win team. Janzen covered so much ground over the top, Georgia would never have moved the ball with Crowell banged up. He opened so much more up for Wilcox. Also, I truly believe we would be undefeated to this point with all three of them. Do I think we would beat LSU and Bama? Probably not, but I think we would have won the east. As it is, Brent put it best in saying they were our three best players. Little chance of beating anyone relevant at this point.

Is Les Miles a major college football coach? He makes more clock management mistakes than any team in the country.

I can agree with Hubbs on this. I hate when Negavols know from the start its going to be a rough season with 6-8 wins but they act like their surprised when we lose one.

I would rather have Tennessee athletes playing with more heart and less ability than to have players from different states with much ability and less heart. Heart wins you games boys.

Lol too bad Dooley doesn't recruit like Les.

Dooley doesn't have 1 of the top 4 recruiting bases in his backyard. I'd say Dooley is doing a better job since he doesn't just sit and wait for them to come knocking on his door like the great Les.

Yes, Les is nigh retarded. I don't deny that. I have no explanation for him, beyond great recruiting and divine intervention.

There's a reason his mega talented teams wind up in nail biters with far less gifted teams, like the UT game last year.....
