All he needs is the magic recruiting pixie dust! Gardner knows the recipe, but it’s harder to make than people think. Got to have a network of people who know what to do without being told. Also need a drug testing program that doesn’t test for steroids 😂🤣
Didn’t we just get busted for using that magic pixie dust? . We have to do it smarter and stop the leaks. Also use that magic dust on the supporting staff to make them happy. 😏

UT administration should be embarrassed. And they have the nerve to ask for more money for buildings? Boosters should put their money into the program, i.e. players & coaches.

I am really hoping that you simply forgot to add the blue font on this one?

The UT AD has their own money. Getting them to spend it correctly has been the issue.

Personally, and having a degree from UT, I would prefer that our beloved institution remain at least a reputable school. If we go down the rabbit hole such as that institution in Tuscaloosa of having a library composed of coloring books (stolen from Spurriers quip re:Auburn), then I will think we have lost the plot.

I hate bama football more than anything. Matter of fact believe it is the only thing I hate. Would rather lose 11 games and beat Bama than win 11 games and lose to bama. Why people want to cancel the bama game is beyond me. It sucks losing to them but man it's awesome to beat them.

Have mercy! While I applaud you wanting to keep Alabama on the schedule and beat them, I want to beat their azz and win our other games too. Being happy going 1-11 with a win over Bama is what Auburn fans wish for.

The difference academically is pale compared to the difference on the football field. 0-14 is “Vandy-like” and Tennessee shouldn’t be that bad. Today’s ADs are moving to be simply a reflection of the ability/desire of alumni & boosters to participate in NIL for student athletes. Unfortunately UT boosters are being hit for funding physical improvements at this time, thus putting coaches behind the NIL game.

Auburn has 37 wins vs Bama
All time Alabama leads 48-37-1 vs Auburn

Correct. Auburn should have tied Tennessee's win total this year against Bama, but of course Bama had help from the zebras.

Auburn has a slightly higher winning percentage against Bama, but UT has most wins as opponent. Auburn has played Bama fewer times than Tennessee has played Bama. Plus throw in the 8 ties. That's 8 seasons UT/Bama were gridlocked.....

The whole point of this thread is that prior to Saban the series was nearly 50/50.

Saban or not, for a program as historically successful as Tennessee to lose to ANY coach or team so many years in a row is both embarrassing and unacceptable.

One day, and that day may never come, in my lifetime, we'll beat B*m* and Florida and won't need any fairy dust or black magic to break a curse. When that day comes, I'm gonna be busy. Lol.

This is not to be negative but I just don’t see us beating Nick Saban. Yeah we were in it this year late but what happened? They inevitably blew us out. I realize that it has a lot to do with depth, injuries and Heupels first year. But think about it, how do you build the necessary depth needed to beat a team like Bama? It takes recruiting at an extremely high level.

Look what just happened yesterday. A defense that has been as good as any we have seen in almost 20 years. A team loaded with 4 and 5* on both sides of the ball. Guys who will play in the NFL. A team loaded with not only depth, but ELITE depth. They got road graded by Bama.

Here is the biggest problem I see. Time. While the transfer portal is great, you cannot build the type of depth needed to beat Bama with the transfer portal. It’s got to be done through recruiting. What do we have now 70 scholarship players? And even we have seen the extreme drop off in talent from our starters to our second string. You not only need depth to beat Bama but you need elite quality depth. There is ni way JH is going to be recruiting top 5 classes for the next 3-5 years.

And regardless of how much we improve or recruit better, as long as Saban is at Bama they will likely never finish below the top 5 in recruiting. So how do you beat a team that is that far ahead of you? I just don’t think we can. I really, really, really, really hope I am wrong.

Auburn has managed to beat Saban a couple/few times and they don’t have any inherent advantages over us. That’s part of my frustration, you’d think over 15 years the ball would bounce the right way for us at some point. But with the coaches we’ve had there was almost no chance. Maybe Heup can build a good enough program to have a punchers chance and land a knock out in the next few years.

We've been a dumpster fire too long while Bama has one of the best coaches of all time. They are still Bama though and if you think everything they do is on the up and up, i got some ocean front property in Arizona you may be interested in..

Not a rivalry when it has been 10+ years since we won......get this game off the schedule
Oh come on really?...Best rivalry in SEC history and you would just throw it away like that?....Damn...Yeah they have dominated us snce Saban but its not going to be that way forever...Don't be a wuss.

Dude since 1960 we are 18-41 against Bama.....that is 61 years (a tie was sprinkled in there). Why would it change all of the sudden.

Now we will have to beat them twice in a season to make the title game.....just would like to see Tennessee have a reasonable chance is all. Make the path a tad easier for the good of recruiting and image.

The losing streak vs Bama, while not acceptable,
is understandable. UGA and UF have their own
losing streak vs the Tide.
The losing record vs the Gators is neither understandable
nor acceptable.
It just seems that when the Vols were good, the Gators were better.
When UF was bad, UT was worse.
I believe CJH will change that.

It’s embarrassing that we’ve done so poorly. Every other major SEC program has taken him down at least once since he’s been an Bama. Even lowly Ole Miss has done it twice.

We have this program turned in the right direction. We have a good coach and I believe with good recruiting and a little wizardry with the transfer portal we will continue to see steady improvement. Count me on the train buddy. Go Big Orange !
This picture is super creepy and ruining a rather lovable childhood train engine for me…
