Look....I've been a member here for over a decade and tend to lurk and enjoy the comedy from our the typical chicken little's that frequently post.

Yeah I get it, we played sloppy and turned the ball over. We should have won with ease, but App St is ranked 43rd out of 128 FBS teams. That's higher than every opponent after the bye week.

The gators just squeaked out a victory at home vs mighty Umass.....who happens to be ranked #128 out of 128.

So can all the chicken little's please calm the F down? We're 1-0 and will be fine. Bet that up

If you want calm people, go out and curb stomp VT like this team has the talent to do.

Yes we struggled, the Oline looked like they've never played before. Just watched the game again and both sides of Oline couldn't hold a block for any play to develop. That performance from thurs will not win us a game in SEC play. Hurd must not go down on 1st contact, Dobbs must learn to read the field, Oline has to hold a block atleast 3-4 seconds. Passing game could be decent but our receivers seem to only be open a few times a game. Dobbs has to anticipate the throw instead of only throwing to wide open guys. This is a 9 win team with Maybe a little luck 10wins. Sorry I'm just as die hard as anyone on this board but the whole team effort was lackluster and very slow on offense, not acceptable for 4th yr Coaching staff

Well, at least it is a W as opposed to LSU, KY, Miss St, Vanderbilt, Missouri, & OK. Didn't see the game but saw where Arkansas squeaked by with a 1 pt win too. It could always be worse. All I can say is they better play better next Saturday or we will all be pulling our hair out.

Yeah, if we have a repeat of that hot garbage we saw Thursday night then I'll be a whole new level of pissed. I'm just not ready to hit the panic button yet.

This was a good week We won! I bet LSU & Oklahoma would love to have won As the # 9 team in the nation, it is always good when any team #1 - #8 loses. This will likely move us up to # 8 or # 7.

It's will soften the drop, but we're still dropping. We went into OT to an unranked team. I'm thinking something around 14-17 seems more realistic for us.

If seeing other teams lose/struggle makes you feel better about TN, we may as well call this sucker and give the trophy to Bammer.

I re-watched the game and I truly believe that Debord just took one page out of the playbook and used it all game. Previous posters have mentioned this. Hell I saw so many awesome plays at the bowl game and nothing even remotely comparable to this one. It was the coaching staffs decision to play vanilla, it back fired on them, the team went out and won. They go out and curb stomp VT then we all watch Florida driven into the ground before us and hear the lamentations of their women, people will know what's up.

Appy was a joke... We gave them a short field after Surton fumbled and a chuck pass play.... That was it on their scoring...

I think that the play calling was basic. They probably told Dobbs to try not to run to much to keep him safe. Good idea but almost cost us. I think App. State's quarter back and running back was really quick but if Mayben stays in the game will counter and makes a lot of those run stops. Hoping anyway

It was all a giant ploy to bait all of CFB into thinking we are turrble. Then we dissasemble each and every team we face.

I agree...I've had time to settle down. It doesn't mean that I'm not worried a little.

One thing I've noticed from very good teams...a sack or penalty on 1st or 2nd down doesn't automatically kill the possession. Good teams don't get effected and can sustain a drive downfield. It seems like when UT takes a sack or penalty on 1st or 2nd it's usually punt time. That's got to change.

Yeah you're right. I'm sure you make perfect burgers 100% of the time even if you have to pull 2 or 3 closing shifts in a row.

Edit: my only point is really that the team wasn't focused and had an off night against a pretty good team. If they play poorly on Sat at B@B then there will be cause for concern.
