I am not sold on the fact that Mayfield will have time to get the ball off that much to say"They will turn it on". I think it may be sporadic at best. I think this will be low scoring slugfest by the time its over with.

The defense was sand bagging last week. This game will be good, but not close. No worried about the Sooners. We will push them around and send their ass back to the flat lands.

Mayfield's 2nd career away-game, in front of the largest and loudest crowd that OU has ever played for in their history?

Keep blowing smoke up his ass, I guess.

We were supposed to have a coming out party LAST year?? Did I miss it?? Could've sworn we were just praying to get to a bowl game last year with an incredibly young and, quite honestly, pretty bad team.

I honestly don't expect to win Saturday. Hopeful as hell, will be pulling for the boys like crazy, just don't expect them to win yet. It's been a very, very long 7 years and I've gotta see em perform and win a few like this one before I can legitimately "expect" them to win.

That prediction is probably not that far off. Hopefully the D really improves though . If they do it will make a huge impact in the game.

I thought this same thing.

If we lose a close one where it's a slugfest and both teams struggle to score then so be it. It will suck but oh well. If they complete about 40 passes underneath to wideopen tight ends and backs because our linebackers can't cover in space like the Dooley years I am going to throw up. And I don't drink. Please let some of that speed we have see the field and cover some dang body

stopped reading at "Jalen Hurt"

That was no error...they started calling him Jalen Hurt after the devastating block on the BG Defensive End. Jalen PLASTERED that guy!

Hope to see more of that on Saturday.

UT-38
OU-31

GO VOLS!!!!!

I'm nervous about this game, mostly because there's so many unknowns. Winning this game would be a huge change and a sign we're back. This is a huge statement opportunity for Tennessee.

Couple of things:

- Martin back

- TKJr back for the full game

- Possibly get McNeil back

- Play Maggitt/Barnett at DE and tell them to pin their ears back. Both played a good bit standing and looked hesitant on assignments.

- Play Shy/McKenzie in rotation at NT along Williams/Vickers at DT.

- JRM. That's it. Just JRM.

- Scattered thunderstorms called for Saturday evening. That plays to our advantage as it makes cuts/throws/catches more difficult. 2nd game of the year in their new system with a questionable OL in rain in a loud stadium? I think that plays into our hand as it slows their through-the-air offense down.

- RUN IT DOWN THEIR THROATS. Rain doesn't slow down a quick-snap run-based offense.

I think it's a 31-21 win if the above points are met. That's up to our coaches, I think this weekend is playing out well to our advantage.

Also, until Tennessee proves otherwise... Oklahoma is going to be the safe pick considering we gave up a whole lot of passing yards to Bowling Green and Oklahoma, at face value, is a bigger name and bigger threat through the air.

Can't fault them for picking OU. I would also if I was a non-partial pundit.
