Knoxville or Baton Rouge?

I think Georgia is a higher profile team than LSU right now but LSU/Florida a bigger rivalry??

This is the biggest home game that both LSU and Tennessee have all season.

On the other hand, if Gameday doesn't come to Knoxville in week 3 I don't think they will come at all. the only other huge home game Tennessee has is against Oklahoma, but that's the same week as Ohio St/Penn St and also I'm not convinced Oklahoma will still be ranked by the time they play Tennessee.

what say you?

Pat McAfee is going to be pushing really, really hard for them to go to Morgantown for the Backyard Brawl. Will that be more enticing than featuring a third consecutive SEC game? Who knows.

If GameDay does decide on an SEC game, I am concerned that LSU winning against Clemson vaults their game against Florida above Georgia vs. Tennessee on the pecking order. GameDay has other opportunities to see Georgia so they might just hold off a bit, which I agree means no visit to Knoxville this season.

They’ll be in Baton Rouge. If Florida somehow gets smacked by USF that might change something, but I doubt it .

I don't think ESPN will let Gameday go to a game with 2 unranked teams when you have two major games that week. especially since ESPN is so deeply in bed with the SEC now. the powers that be would be quite displeased.

I kind of suspect that Herbstreit will be calling the LSU game.

I think Gameday might be in Knoxville and Herbstreit will fly to baton rouge to call the LSU game as he typically does.

I have a feeling that Gameday will go to either Knoxville or Baton Rouge and SEC Nation will go to the other location. South Bend for A&M/Notre Dame is a possibility, as well. If our friend Coach Golesh can pull off the upset of Florida this weekend, I think we lock in Gameday, though.

Surely they will be in Knoxville. I think the game has bigger implications if we’re being honest, which some won’t like.

Georgia is the only team of the 4 with true championship chances(IMO). I would think they would be covering that.

AS OF NOW, College Gameday will definitely be in Red Stick. Both games are on ABC, with UF LSU getting the (priority) primetime spot.

I really do like what @deatojl had to say about USF beating Florida. That outcome might change things. I'm seriously pulling for Coach Golesh and the Bulls! That might even facilitate ABC swapping game times too.

That’s the 7/8pm game. KH will definitely be on the call for that. With LSU winning at Clemson, the Gators having Lagway, ruining LSU’s CFP chances last season, that’s the storyline . Not to mention everyone will be talking about Death Valley at night and all that stuff . I would love for it to be in KTown, but not sure that’s happening.

I am rooting for Golesh too. I bet this is his last year at South Florida. His name is at the top of all the lists I have seen for coaches to hire. I just hope he does not take the Florida job if Napier gets the axe. I think he could get Florida's offense back up and running which would be bad for us. Plus, he knows Heup's system which will give him another advantage against us.

I'm not so sure I believe Georgia has true championship chances, either. I'm in wait and see mode with Gunner Stockton running the show.
