College Gameday bashing UT

Guys of course ESPN is gonna bash us for this, they think that schools should value their opinions more than anything and now that it’s been shown the fans have more influence than a sports news channel they are gonna do everything they can to bash the **** out of us. They know their a failing company because people can get the same info they provide much faster and can even work out the truth faster and not take their word as gossip, theybhate all social media. So of course they will bash the social media uprising of fans, it’s just another knock on them. Why would fans watch them when their school is doing something they don’t like and be able to do nothing but listen when they can ignore espn and make their voices heard.

Espn thought they could go talk to a few fans and report what a fan base is thinking or feeling, now all fans can voice their opinion and espn can’t filter or edit out the ones that go against their agenda.

As they should. We look incompetent.

It is not us that looks incompetent, it is John Currie and Jim Haslam that looked incompetent as they attempted to hire their mutual buddy, Greg Schiano, a man who allegedly helped cover up Sandusky's player molestations at PSU, a man who coaches say is difficult to work with, and a man who players on both the NFL and college levels say is abusive and deceptive... as our coach.

Now that the administration has "fired" "suspended" or "whatever" John Currie, they are finally making UT look more competent by the minute. They can continue to do so by :
1) Opening the pursestrings to allow the new coach to be able to lure the very best coordinators and assistants he can possibly get.
2) Support the boosters in their overthrow of Haslam and not allow any booster control of the athletic director or any athletic program in the future. That is what got us in this mess in the first place.

Why is this question never asked by the National sports media...

If Schiano is such a great hire the why, out of the plethora of HC vacancies across the country, is NO ONE ELSE pursuing him as a HC?

i am so sick of all of these reporters bashing the tennessee fans, just because we love tennessee does not make us anything but passionate about our program, lord look at auburn an their fans, 3 or 4 months ago they were hollering to fire Gus but now they love him, i hope auburn wins the national champ an then gus takes the ark. job an tells auburn to kiss his butt. that would be so funny, be interestingto see what they would say then

If all of Vol Nation turned them off I'll bet the Tennessee ratings crash would change their tune. They are like most politicians they go where the wind takes them. That's why they can't understand what we did.

Let's be honest, it was a s#@t show and it does make UT look incompetent. But none of us care, because they were about to hire someone we didn't want. Someone with a mediocre record. Were there good candidates mixed in? I think so, but the process looked awful. It felt like there was no thought. They were just working down a list of coaches until one said yes. It felt hopeless to VOL fans.

So...we took our ship from the Captain. Now let's go get the right person. And f#$k ESPN and Herbstreit. They don't know jack about Tennessee and we don't want Schiano. He may be a good coach, but he is implicated in the HORROR SHOW AT PENN STATE and I personally believe the guy who came clean and turned all of those sickos in. NOW WE GET OUR GUY AND REBUILD THE FINEST, MOST EXCITING FOOTBALL PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY. GoVols!

First, Herbstreit has lived in Nashville since 2011.

Why?

Herbstreit and family moved from his home in Ohio in 2011 because of harassment by vocal Ohio State fans accusing him of directly criticizing his alma mater.

Herbstreit was quoted as saying "It's the vocal minority that make it rough. They probably represent 5 to 10% of the fan base but they are relentless."

Now, after living 6 years, right in the center of Tennessee, he promotes a false narrative regarding this story. Herbstreit d**n well knows exactly what is going on here! To claim otherwise tells you everything you need to know!

Did they bring up the rumor that Manning went along with the boosters in order to get an NFL front office job?

If they didnt and are still just going on about Schiano, could mean they are just upset about and are still trying to throw a bone to the agent they reportedly all share

If they really want to hurt Tennessee I think the narrative will be the Manning rumor.

Just turned on College Game Day and am listening as I type. I never noticed it, but their fake laughter sounds like an AM radio morning show.

Hope Urban leaves in 1-2 years and they promote Schiano to HC. Ol Herbstreit would start singing a different tune

That's what I told my neighbor, who is an tOSU fan. He was saying that UT may have destroyed any chance Schiano had of getting another HC. I said that Schiano may have done that to himself with his own coaching history, but I did point out that if tOSU fans, and Urban, and the national media are all so concerned, then let his champion Urban name him HCIW so that when Urban retires Schiano can step right in. I said it is a win win. Schiano gets his HC job and tOSU fans get the great HC the media and his buddies have been hyping.

My neighbor gave me a pretty hateful look, which I didn't understand since I had just solved Schiano's perceived problem for him.

One laughing stock calling the other laughing stock the laughing stock.

ESPN is literally hands down the laughing stock of their industry. A true embarrassment to their industry. They are destroying themselves from within and it's a pleasure watching it implode

Surprise surprise. College Gameday is bashing UT fans saying social media vigilantes messed up a successful and quiet coaching search to hire Greg Schiano.

Talking about it now.

They are saying Fulmer may have undermined search but Fulmer denies.

Ridiculous drama
Clownshow
Brutal
Unprecedented
Gave fans a voice
Other schools should use this as an example of what could come
Peyton involved and brilliant minds thought Shiano would have been great
Tennessee caved

Stability in T.N. more with Fulmer now

Coaches turning down UT because of how they handled all of this

Fulmer calms things down
All I have heard from ESPN ect. Is how Tn fans has drug this man through the mud!!! He will never get a HC job now bc of us!!! OK pot calling the kettle black in return all they have done is BASHED us and making it difficult for us to get a HC!!! How is what they are doing any different??? Greg had this over his head before he thought of coming to Tn We had nothing to do with what he did or didn't know!!!! Sick of ESPN, PAUL, LAURA, KIRK and the rest of the over payed clowns!!!!

If there's anyone they should be mad at it's McQueary.

Tennessee fans didn't make the accusation. They just responded to it.
