The Florida defense will be "much better this year" according to Herbstreit. I'd like to hear his explanation for why he believes that.

I know these guys are paid to know what's going on.. But, when Lou says stupid homer things it just makes them seem like a fan rooting for their favorite team. Same with Herbie and tOSU. They basically get some things right because some teams are always in contention.

Herbie at least tries to be objective about OSU. Holtz just comes off as a complete hack whenever Notre Dame or SC are involved.

It amazes me the rest of the Game Day crew doesn't have umbrella's when Holtz talks. When he gets excited it's like a thunderstorm. Did he do the voice for tweety bird?

Alabama is ranked 24th and Wake, who they play in October, is 23rd currently. I do agree, it is a pretty weak schedule but, I disagree that they won't win the conference. It just seems to me that the pieces are in place to finally get it done in the weak ACC.

Alabama is 24 in one poll, unranked in another. Wake is 23 in both polls. By the time Clemson plays Wake, they could be unranked. That was my point.
And it's not a "pretty weak" schedule...it's flat-out weak.

I think everyone is sleeping on Virginia Tech. I think they'll quietly go about their business, win their division, and beat Clemson in the ACC championship game.

Not to mention that Clemson doesn't even have to play VT this season -- very, very weak schedule Clemson plays. I think Bama gives Clemson all they want next Saturday.

I think it's the same optimism we as fans have. It can't be much worse, you guys are in the same boat as both of our D's sucked last year but we all expect better this season. Good Luck
