Offensive play calling is getting conservative again. Need to keep up the pressure and quit running straight in the pile.

Tough loss, but I'm proud of the guys. They played a gutsy game. Not perfect, but no one is. They stood toe to toe with one of the top 10 teams in the country for 60 minutes. Proud of them.

Okay, this guy knew what he was talking about. The rest of the posters in this thread who were picking a blow out are just idiots who have not watched our games this season. WE ARE GETTING BETTER!

I'm damn sure not worried about losing to Missouri anymore. We could score 14 points and win that game. 8-4 is not only attainable, it is probable if we beat Kentucky.

At the end, CBS commented about the bammers having a few more guns, talking about Saban's recruiting, and one said, "Butch Jones can recruit, too." Those guys broadcast three of our losses this year, and they are showing us respect. We have a good team, and I truly believe that it will get better and better. I am disappointed for our players, but also proud of them.

Really proud of the way the team played today. They are getting better, and we will be a really good team next year. The thing we need to do is win the rest of the games and get to 8-4. Then go get a big bowl win and move forward. We have been close in every game we have lost, in other words we have been competitive, which is a big improvement. Buck FAMA and buck Gameday too!!!! Two losses and a win. The error is forgivable because we're so used to losing with Verne and Gary on the broadcast.

I was wrong. I didn't think this game would even be close and said so. We haven't gotten pressure on the QB since Maggitt went out...until yesterday. The pressure, and Martin playing, made a huge difference in our secondary. Defense played a very good game. Nobody has run on Bama...until yesterday. It was not a good matchup for us, but our guys went out there and played hard all game. There is no quit in this bunch. Win out. GBO

If this how some you truly feel, please stop being a Tennessee fan. You do see now you were wrong I guess. We were in the game until the end, and not placing blame on anyone, but we should have won it. Go pull for candybilt, you'd fit in much better there.

I notice that most of the national stories attribute the closeness of the game to a bad performance by Bama. I see very little credit given to the Vols. Fine. I suspect they're covering their butts for their predictions of a blow-out. One of these days, and I suspect it will be sooner than later, they're going to have to explain just how one of their darlings just got chewed up and spat out by the Vols.
