Trust me, I have no qualms whether he stays or goes... Actually, I'd like for him to stay so I can see his face when he loses to UT for the first time. I just have a hard time believing he's going to stay... What more does he have to prove at UF? You've seen how the fans have reacted to Donovan having two NIT trips after two National Titles.. Why would he want to stick around once Tebow leaves? It won't hurt his reputation to leave and work on bringing Notre Dame back to the top, but if he stays and doesn't make it to the national title game again at Florida, they will want to run him out of town.

You could say the same of Pete Carroll, Mack Brown, Bob Stoops, etc. I didn't see any of them interested in taking the Auburn job for a "new challenge."

While you are correct, how many of them have lied before about staying with their respective programs? If I wasn't on my phone I would scrounge up the link that has Meyer quoted before saying these type of things at his last two programs...

He just doesn't have a lot of credibility with his word.

Also, none of those coaches you mentioned have come out and said "X is my dream job".

I don't believe anything Meyer says about anything. He's completely full of crap and has been his entire coaching career. Notre Dame can do something special for him, and that is give him the most lucrative contract in college football history. Money talks.

Yes, none of them were interested in the Auburn job but the Auburn job was not any of those coaches "dream job". Meyer's dream job as stated by CUM is Notre Dame. Possibly 3 national titles at UF makes CUM a great coach, taking Notre Dame back to the "promise land" will make him a legendary coach just below Knute Rockne.

I heard Holtz talking about ND in the championship game against Florida this year.
Honestly, when will the ESPN powers get the memo that this guy is off his rocker. It isn't funny, or cute, or whatever they think it is. It's frustrating to those who want to see someone at leat pretend to be a pro at this kind of stuff. Sure he was a decent coach. Now he's obviously nuts, and has been every year they've put him on the air. He just talks about how South Carolina, ND, and ECU are the best teams ever. I can't take it anymore!!!!
Plus, I'm pretty sure he spit on me through the screen once last year.
