slade and clawson have been good recruiters as of late so they still have value and maybe with a little more freedom to call his offense, clawson could have success

the thing is NOTHING is getting changed! open competition just means that the people who were the starters are still going to play even with their constant mistakes and poor performance. sit them the entire game and let the players who have been waiting for this opportunity to play quality minutes against first string defenses. how can we expect better play if were not giving others the opportunity?

being hypocrytical when a new head coach arrives everyone will all of a sudden not be mad when we lose and give the HC a good old fashioned fulmer handclap. So why have a new head coach when not one person would be happy with anything less that a perfect season, which is pretty damn difficult in this day and time.

Have you read any of this stuff in here? No one is expecting perfect seasons. Just an SEC title or two in a ten year period of time, especially since there have been multiple appearances in the title game in said period of time with no hardware to show for it.

How can you even begin to make that statement? Don't you think that the new coach is going to want to make that decision? If not, you aren't going to get anybody decent. See, for example, Al Davis.

It is the decision of the new coach but I was thinking in terms of recruiting or seeing an improvment in those areas but you have to actually watch the games and not JC to see it

I'm sure students wouldn't have a problem with a small free on their tuition to raise enough money to fire fulmer

I hope this is a joke. Students pay a crap ton already as it is, and while we pay more, UT's budget continues to go down even with tuition increases. No student should be responsible for paying for a coaches buyout, thats the dumbest idea I might have ever seen on this board along with the Chris Lofton should be benched and Johnathan Crompton in the pros.

why keep those coaches? qb coach, rb coach, and special teams have been the worst part of the offense

crompton just plain sucks...clawson wanted to make a change but wasn't allowed have you seen his reactions to the way JC is playing

fosters fumbling is making the rb's look bad this year but look at the improvment of hardesty and creer

the TE's coach has special teams experience move him over to that position and if Kiffin comes in let him coach the TE's he has experience coaching wr's in his past

I feel sorry for Clawson. This could cost him his career. I think he is getting screwed. He is being forced to play a QB that just plain sucks. He is using only about 25% of his offense if that, just to try and make things easy for Crompton. If you watch him interview, I think he is for real. He makes a lot of sense and you can almost see the frustration when Crompton is mentioned.

I think our running backs are doing pretty well other than Fosters fumbles. Remember defenses are stacking 8 and 9 in the box that they are having to run against because Crompton does not present a passing threat.

Our problem is the QB who is the center of the offense. However, Fulmer is truly the only one to blame for that.

I don't get upseyt when we lose... I get upset that we're not even competitive. I know we're going to lose a few, I just don't want to always lose by 20.

What? We only lost to Auburn by two. Wasn't that an exciting game to you? :whistling:
