College football is better when Tennessee is good. How many years have we heard that?

Now, we are good, and all these teams and fans in the SEC (and around the country) are talking trash. Alabama fans are losing their minds right now blaming Hyatt burning them like the end of a midnight cigarette on the refs.

College football doesn't want to see us good again. I love the hate. I love the way our baseball team embraces it. I love the way our fans embrace it. I love the way our players embrace it.

College football is better when Tennessee is good, but anyone outside the tennessee fan base who says that doesn't really want it.

We are living rent free in Georgia, Alabama, and Kentuckys head. Might as well keep pushing and in the words of Josh Pray, handing out a$$ whooping!

I DGAF which team you pull for. When UT is good-all college football is better. As far as the Bama, Jawga, Kentuck fans go, they can all eat chit or piss up a rope. Their choice cause free will is important

I haven't seen anything but love for UT since the Bama win. I was really surprised to see such positivity coming from ESPN. Colin Cowherd usually trashes UT and other SEC teams. He was very complimentary of the Vols and spoke of them as a playoff team. We were a huge topic on the Dan Patrick show and it was positive as well. There was the story about the goal post fundraiser; however, I see that more of some folks didn't get AD White's joke. I agree with you that college football is better when Tennessee is great, I just haven't seen any level of negativity. In my view we are the new media darlings. It is certainly a weird place to be considering the past where everyone did take a shot at UT anytime possible.

The entire college football world loved seeing Alabama lose on Saturday but, make no mistake, they’re all terrified of Tennessee being “back”.

Are we good for college football? Yes.
Are we good for the talking heads of college football? Yes.
Does that mean college football fans, as a whole, want us to be good again? Absolutely not!

We are a sleeping giant, both on the field and on Twitter, and nobody’s cheering for our resurrection!

Worst case scenario for other teams especially the ones in the SEC, we have been the laughing stock and butt end of their jokes since Kiffin made us burn our mattresses, since Butch's cliches and garbage cans, Greg Schiano and Mcdonalds bags stuffed with cash, its all been in the medias minds and everyone else, you could see it every time they talked about us, they snickered and expected us to fail but Saturday night all that mess came to a screeching halt. Our team punched the big dog in the mouth, we smoked cigars and tore down goal posts and threw them in the river on prime time and people loved it! We played Dixie Land delight to rub salt in the wound and people heard it. That scene is gonna play in peoples minds for a long time to come.

Nice “Whiskey Lullaby” reference…..….and I agree, embrace the villain! The other fans hate it, because they’ve always known what was possible if UT could ever manage to get out of its own way….and now they know those possibilities are almost endless, and came quicker than anyone ever thought possible. I’m enjoying every minute of it. Already have some Cats and Bama friends losing their ever loving minds over it.

Agree, We have such a huge fan base. Michigan also needs to be there. I do t like but them being relevant is good for the sport as a whole

Actually most of College Football Fans that don't wear Crimson and White shirts with elephants on them are loving it.

Meanwhile, Alabama is having an epic meltdown right now about this game. They need to get it together if they plan to beat Miss State.
