College football-I'm done

There is a huge difference between SC and Bama in coaching and talent.

That being said, my reasons are not based necessarily on one game. I have been watching this team shoot itself in the foot all year. That combined with the mounting injuries, it's clear to me we aren't good enough right now.

Our season is, was, and forever will be alabama. You circle that game and you remember that.

We had no chance against Bama this year. We went to a gun fight with a knife so to speak.

Bama usually is the team we should measure our team against. I see what you are saying.

Stop living vicariously through sports teams and things won't be so tough.

I love Tennessee. If they win great! If they lose, oh well. I'm not playing on the field nor am I getting paid to make decisions about how they play on the field. To quote Eleanor Roosevelt, "no skin off my sack".

This all day. Tennessee losing doesn't change my life in anyway whatsoever. I hate it, but some people act as if it's more important than than their spouse or children with the "my life is over" posts.

Folks, I'm pretty much done with college football this year. If UT has nothing to play for I have no reason to watch college football.

Thank the good Lord for the NFL and my Broncos. Hopefully they will stay healthy and play sound ( minimal penalties and turnovers and bone headed plays such as snaps 10 yards over qb's head, and rb's knocking ball out of QB's hands ) football.

Hopefully our team will grow and get better for next year so we can play for an SEC title.

Bye!! I'm done with NFL 2016. Too many good men and women of all races, creeds, and colors have sacrificed serving the military saluting while comrades during our national anthem for me to support any organization denigrating it while cashing checks and using the American dollar. Eff the NFL, their commish who supports that crap, and their whole 2016 season. If they fix it, I'll come back, otherwise the NFL can go to hxxx as far as I'm concerned.

Bye - and don't come back when the Vols start winning.

If you can't support them through the bad, you don't get to support them through the good.

The "bad" has been around for a long time. Supporting
'bad" is really getting heavy. After so many "bads" in a lifetime, I can understand his position.

I see what you are saying. For my health, I gotta get away from this team for a while. A fresh start to next year is what I need.

I gotta fever, and the only medicine is the 2017 version of UT football.

they lose sutton and reeves maybin as well as qb...

offense will improve but, we saw the future on d. might wanna wait for coaching turnover before tuning in.

So you're only intrested in supporting your team if they're playing well... I guess you didn't watch a lot football during the late Fulmer years, the Kiffin debacle & the Dooley years.., it's ok, the Vols won't miss you.

I'm definitely not in the fire Butch crowd. I still believe. We simply have to get healthy and keep coaching em up. Health and coaching em up in my opinion is gonna take the rest of this year, and spring and fall practice. I personally think CBJ will have us ready next year. Hopefully the injury bug stays away.

I've had so many Vol related good times, can't imagine not wanting to attend or watch games.

I will never forget the feel in Neyland when we started to win the game and then did win the game.

It's hard being a sports fan, only 1 fan base per year is satisfied. Good years can happen, but it's all about the NC.

I thought you quit 10 posts ago. GTHO.

I didn't quit volnation. I'm done watching this team for the rest of this year. We aren't healthy enough or good enough to win the SEC this year. I've turned the page and am anticipating next year.

I watched most of it. Had to get away from each of those too.

I go back to coach Majors. I've watched and supported a ton of UT football since then.

Still, gotta get away sometimes.

Heard a guy on dawg talk radio last night after hearing the hosts discuss "we're rebuilding, help is coming, we'll all look back on this in 8 years after coach Smart is playing for a national championship" ask, how did our season go from being ranked #12 to we're rebuilding??

Hosts didn't have a good answer other than expectations were too high. No matter what else happens this season, the Vols winning the East at the minimum WAS the correct expectation IMO.

Lets just be honest, you will watch every game the rest of the year, right?

How in THE hell can you give up on the VOLS, but stay on VOLNATION. You must need misery.

I will keep watching this year -- that effing election next week is going to be a disaster for America. I would rather watch bad football than that crap
