I use to love college basketball games. College Hoops 2K8 was awesome. I thought EA did a good job with NCAA Basketball 2010.

I wish they would bring one back.

1) Do you want to see a new college basketball game?

2) What would you like to see if there was one?

I always wanted more in depth recruiting. If EA Sports did the game, maybe they could establish there NCAA Football recruiting in a college hoops game.

2K8 was a good game, and i played it off an on until last year. But it's just incredibly dated, to where it feels like playing Double Dribble.

If 2K made another NCAA game I'd buy it day one, but i just can't tolerate hearing people talk about the NBA, let alone buy a game based on it.

2k would be able to make an incredible college basketball game given their strides with their NBA series. I really wish it could happen.

I hated the EA college basketball games. Loved the 2K ones. I'd go crazy if they made a College Hoops 2k14. If it would be anything like the NBA series it would be incredible. 2k8 was awesome

Yes, the basketball recruiting was terrible. GameStop online is still selling 2010 for like $35.

Yeah, following the best basketball league in the world really blows.

Seriously, the NBA isn't what it was 10 years ago. Rule changes in recent years as well as a new generation if players have made the league thoroughly enjoyable again. You should give it a shot.

I'd definitely like to see 2k take another shot at college hoops, but I imagine we'll have to wait and see how the O'Bannon lawsuit plays out before anybody ventures back out onto that limb.

The presentation on 2k8 was so legit. I guess 2k just wasn't making enough money off the series.

A college game using the current 2K engine would be amazing.

There are still some major legal hurdles to get through however, like VolinthaAtl referenced.

A BB game would face even bigger problems than EA is currently experiencing with their NCAA football games. Every year they change guys equipment and numbers on the game to avoid trouble. It's not that simple for basketball because guys faces are actually visible. I think it would be a tough sell to get people to throw down $60 for a game that is basically just a set if college uniforms and arenas but nothing resembling the actual players. Maybe once the lawsuit is settled they can figure out some way to pay the players a small licensing fee and take college sports video games to an even higher level of realism.

Once the next gen consoles are here, I think we will see a college basketball game (likely from 2k) for the '14-'15 season. While bleedorange has a point, using generic (but editable) default faces would be a way to get around the lawsuit without upsetting end users. The combination of the period of time since the last college basketball game and the potential of the new consoles should be enough to remove any 'tough sell' issues as long as the game (engine, presentation, AI, etc.) was better than CHooops 2k8.

Honestly, I know that I usually edit guys' equipment, location, etc. on my own because I'm a nerd like that, but as long as you got the skin color right, I don't think people would care.

However, I've decided not to buy another college game till players start getting money from it anyways.

If they could make it anywhere near NBA 2K, with a my player mode where you play in McDonald's All-American Game, and pick your school at the end of the game with a presentation like they do their press conferences. Also add in the Dynasty mode, recruiting a lot more realistic, but user-friendly. And maybe some 2K moments, reliving some comebacks in College Basketball. It could be a great game

Hopefully one day.

How awesome would it be to play a high school basketball season (like they do on EASports), play a couple high school tournaments, pick your school, go to college, then you can play with your guy on NBA 2k series? They mention all your stats and accomplishments, and all that. It'd be freaking awesome.

I, for one, would enjoy playing a highschool season (like 20 games) and the state tourney and an all-star game, but I don't think they'd make it that long considering some people could care less about playing a high school season. I'd love it. They could make College Hoops a nasty game.

I got the itch recently and was shopping around looking for a cheap copy. People must think since NCAA is no longer made that it's all of the sudden a collectible. Some want $80+ for a copy of 2010 on ebay and amazon. It's insane.
